  • Which would you rather have?

Which option would you like better. Option 1 the Rams trade our 1st pick to Cleveland for thier 1st and 2nd round pick and the Rams draft Dez Bryant and Dan Lefevour with those two picks. Option 2 the Rams keep thier 1st round pick and draft Bradford.

IMO I would pick option 2 because both Bryant and Lefevour have high potential at a position of need and we would not be putting all our eggs in the Bradford basket. We would get two young likely future starters instead of one and still have our round 2 pick. We would have both WR and QB taken care of and could possibly find another starter in the 2nd-4th at DE or TE and fill the backup RB.

wait I'm confused... "IMO I would pick option 2 because all three have high potential" what three?

Yes all three have high potential Bradford, Bryant, and Lefevour. Its not like only Dez or Lefevour have high potential and I was recognizing Bradford did as well. I would rather have the two players at an area of need with high potential instead of one. Maybe my wording was not the best.

not even close...bryant is a risk attitude/effort wise and will probably drop to the mid/bottom of the first, and lefevour will likely be available with our 3rd round pick so i don't get it.

If this was the only two options available then I have to go with Bradford.

Now if the Rams trade down I can see much better options at 7 and in the 2nd round and so on.

          Go Rams

I went Sam Bradford. The reason, I think the gap between Sam and Dan is tremendous.

Also Dez Bryant might have worse attitude problems than Brandon Marshall, TO, and Michael Crabtree combined. If I recall correctly I was reading somewhere that he was late for a game. I mean come on, I can see sleeping in through team meetings, but to be late for a game.... baffles me.

That being said, I still want Suh.

I don't want Rams to draft Dez Bryant. So I voted Bradford.

If we drop from 1 to 7, we better get their 1rst 2nd and 4rth MIN. I would want 1rst 2nd and 3rd. We'd be giving up our franchise QB or an immediate impact player (supposedly).

Bryant is telling everyone who will listen, that this is a joke and imo hes not what we need on a team with young WRs trying to find there way.

Bradford is the way I would go even with his durability issues, Despags seem to be trying to add competition to the O-line, maybe in preparation.

                  I want alot more than a there 1st, 2nd & 4th to move to #7.

I would rather trade to the 3rd pick for just a 2nd round pick and still get one of the top three.(QB Bradford, DT Suh,DT McCoy).

                  Cleveland at 7 have 3 3rd & 5th round picks.
If QB Bradford is still there and Rams don't want him and want more picks then move to Cleveland for more picks.

Dez Bryant will cripple the 4 pillars and Lefevour doesn't seem like a solution for a QB-challenged team.

Re: Which would you rather have?

There are obviously 13 others besides myself that would prefer Bryant and Lefevour. Since no one else is speking out on that behalf I will state again why I like it more. I think Dez Bryant has a very good skill set. He has been late for things which I agree is bad. He also lied about his visit with Sanders when he was unsure if it was against the rules. It was not against the rules and yet he was punished severly for lying. I do believe he needs to mature but his skill set will translate right away to the NFL and its a #1 WR skill set. His skill set is hard to find and that is why he is still ranked as the #1 WR although he has taken a hit for things outside of his skills on the field. Every guy in the draft is a gamble but if I am going to gamble I would rather gamble on a guy like Bryant. He has not fought with teammates or got busted for drugs but may have some maturity issues and he has Pro-Bowl WR skills (high ceiling). I would rather gamble on that then an impecable nice guy with average WR skills (low ceiling). As for Lefevour I think he has the same potential ceiling as Bradford I think both could be very good QB's in the NFL. IMO both of them are more of a risk as far as their skill set translating to the NFL then Bryants. IMO if it where just off skill sets on the field and they were all even as far as personality then Bryant would blow them both out of the water as far as being the least likely to be a bust and have as high of a cieling as the other two. I do agree you have to take things other then skill set into account and I understand people being reluctant to want Bryant for that reason but for me its worth the gamble because he translates more skill wise then the other two. Had Bryant played all year this year and not had questions about his personality I think he would be considered as a top 3 pick.
