  • What are YOUR expectation for 2010/11 ?

I'm new to the forum reading, but I find myself reading that not many of us think the rams will be any good next year, to the point where we will be in the running for the worst record 2 years running.

I know we dont have the most talented team with more holes than a block of swiss cheese but stranger things have happened and we actually might be competitive next year depending on how the QB situation plays out. But with the young guys we had hopefully should be better with 1 more year in the system, i'd like to think we would be at least a 8 win team and maybe even push for the division (Barring the 49'ers getting McNabb)

Plus .. can we spend 10's of millions of dollars every year on players and only expect them to win 2-3 games. Its a losers mentality and the Rams fans i fear are embracing it.

since we are playing AFC west (easy games with Chiefs and Raiders), the Skins which is pretty easy to win, the Lions we should win again, and the Buccs. I am expecting at least a 4-5 win season.

Hell that'd would be sweet, if we get 6 wins then we tie the past 3 years combined! Talk about production!

If that disease known as injuries doesn't come biting back at us, then it's possible ;)

The Lions have developed a losing mentality, part of the reason Sanders left early, and I can see it here. We aren't expected to contend for years! We are in a weak division that can be turned around in just one year, with the right coaches and the right management. I don't know if we have that yet, but I hope our mentality is not to "get better" this season, but rather " be better".

Thank god im not the only one who sees this. The optimism around here is abysmal and its funny how all the players for the rams and the FO feel very good about the status of our team and they are the only ones who truly know whats going on behind the scenes. Im banking on at least 6 wins with a shot at the division next year. A lot of this speculation at this point and i will give my final bold prediction after the draft.

I really feel that 8 wins is a stretch. I'd be happy with 4/5 wins anything more is a bonus. Although Bill Parcels took the JETS from a 1-15 team to the AFC Championship game in 2 years. (Anything can happen)

Schedule Smmmmedule....We were 1-15 last season. There aren't any easy games on our schedule.

I will be disappointed if we are drafting in the top 5 next year. With 10 picks in this deep draft, with Devaney's eye for talent, I think expecting 6 wins is not over the top. I'm expecting at least 4-5 starters/rotational players from this draft. The rest either backups or practice squad material.

If there isnt much change next year, I just might have to change my name to "The Pessimistic Lamb."

Well guys im still new here so you all dont know me too well but im a big rams fan and i say if we take Bradford in the first and with the young recievers we have and not to mention Donnie Avery i think we can win 10 games. laugh at me but im a true rams fan and ill always be.

PS. has anyone tried going to the grocery story and looking for bag boys to maybe see if they have quarterback in them? I miss Warner lol.

I sure hope you guys are right, but a rookie QB ( if we dont get Mcnab ), Spags not yet being a fraction of Parcells, and considering that atleast some of the holes we have wont be filled by the start of training camp due to attrition if nothing else, I feel if we get 3-4 wins Id be OK I guess, but not happy.

KC, Det, Tampa, Raiders are all making moves to, some are better than the moves we are making so I think while we improve only marginally they are atleast doing the same thing.

Will the Rams win more than 3 gamesin 2010?
                      by rammiser
This is not a dig on Bradford but I doubt he even plays much better than Bulger as a rookie qb next year. Have we really gotten much better? I mean we havent really made the team better if anything we could be worse. Of course I dont want them to be worse but I do expect us to be picking in the top 5 again next year. Adding a rookie qb a rookie offensive lineman and a cb so far in the draft will not win us a bunch of games next year. Kind of scary thinking we could possible be worse but it could happen. Hopefully with the revamped o-line we can play a little more ball control and hope this helps out our defense. Yes in the future we will be better but next year could be pretty rocky. Just curious how everyone else feels about this?

Who will we upset during the 2010 season?
                      by laram0
We all know that our W/L record for the last 3 seasons was a dismal (6-42).

3 of our 6 wins were of the upset variety.

                      2007 Season:
                      Win (37-29 at New Orleans)

                      2008 Season:
                      Win (19-17 at Washington)
Win (34-14 at home against Dallas)

                      2009 Season:
We only had 1 win for the entire season and I guess you could argue that beating Detriot on the road was an upset? So for the sake of argument I'm going to with we didn't pull off any upsets last season. Hard to believe. Sad but true!

15 of our 42 losses were by 8 points or less. (One score games)

So my question is where do we see the possibility of an upset for 2010? I'm figuring we will be the underdog in every single game during our 2010 season.

Get out your coin, eight ball, pixy dust, crystal ball.... whatever you use to make honest and accurate predictions.

Rams first road win of 2010....
                      by OldSchoolRamFan
....and my wife, daughter, and I will be there to see it. It is time for this team to pounce. Denver is downtrodden and the fans are showing it. Our team has blown a couple of very good chances to steal a win on the road and it is time to break through this weekend. I'm looking forward to the snarls and snickers as we travel the light rail towards Invesco Field suited up in our Rams best. Win or lose we will have a great time (this will be my daughter's first away game experience), BUT I feel a win coming. This weekend could definitely set the stage for an end of the year showdown with Seattle (as they will lose to the Chiefs this weekend) that is actually meaningful. While there have been some disappointing losses this year, it has actually been fun to have a team take the field that is competitive and pocketed a few wins as well. Whatever happens.... GO RAMS!!!
