  • Just a thought....

I had a thought cross my mind after listening to an interview on 101 the Fast Lane with Kurt Warner. He just talked about life, and gave advice to impending first overall pick Sam Bradford. He still loves the city of St. Louis.

I would love to see the Rams bring him in as our QB Coach. The guy has a love and a passion for the game, and he is a great leader. He is also a great person, and very well-respected.

I say fire Dick Curl, and bring in Kurt...

I know highly unlikely, but hey we can dream can't we?

No, great players don't make great coaches. And Pat Shurmur is actually a really good Quarterbacks coach, very respected around the league for it. He's coached up Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb to be a great player, and potentially great player.

Henry Ellard was our reciever coach a few years ago and he was a good player. Mike singletary with the *****.

What was that old saying about big time players not knowing how to express their abilities to others because it comes so naturally to them? Actually, that's about it.

I heard something about Ted Williams first attempt to teach others how to hit, and he told them to read the spin on the ball as it came out of the pitcher's hand, which of course no one else could really do. Sometimes their gifts can't be taught, and at the same time they don't know how to play without those gifts, so they don't always make a great coach.

He might not become a great coach, but I'd love to give him a chance. He's a great person, and could go a long way to teaching all around life lessons to the whole team in addition to the specific roles of his position. If he wants to, he certainly deserves a chance to coach.
