Devaney had a chat with fans on the Rams website, let's see if I can post it.
Pretty funny guy, love the Bulger comment.

Greetings from draft central. Let's get it going.
Mitch, South Dakota

Any truth to the rumor of a possible trade with Cleveland for the #1 pick in the draft?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
There's a lot going on right now. So as not to mislead anyone, I am going to have to stay away from any trade talks at this point.
wesley, st. peters

How do you feel about are offense line for 2010 season?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
We really feel that the offensive line is going to be one of the strengths of this team. These guys have played together now for a year, we expect great competition in training camp for a couple of jobs on the offensive line.
david , roanoke, va
1:03 PM CT
Billy, Thanks so much for your time. The Rams have a big following in my city. Can you give us an update on how some of the injured young players from last year are doing? How is A. Carriker progressing? Do you see him moving back do DE? Thanks Alot
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
David, we were just looking at some Va Tech film five minutes ago. In general, all of our guys are on track. We are very pleased with the rehab progress of all of our injured players.
John, Vermont
1:04 PM CT
When looking at a possible trade down, what are the two biggest factors in your decision making process?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
First, what you get in return. And second, are there a pool of players that you would be happy with at the draft spot you end up at after the trade.
Kiko Sanchez, Albuquerque
1:05 PM CT
Describe the scene these days at Rams Park as it would be cool to be a fly on the wall there right about now!
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
We are at the midway point of our stacking board. That means we have rated all of the players by position. We have gone through round one and round two. We will have all seven rounds stacked and rated by the weekend.
Bill McGarry, New York, NY
1:06 PM CT
This draft seems pivotal to the future of the Rams organization and there's a lot of pressure attached to that kind of responsibility - how are you and Coach Spags holding up?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
I may be screwed up but I feel excitement, not pressure. I really feel comfortable going into this draft that we are going to do a great job.
Mitch, South Dakota
1:07 PM CT
As far as quarterback goes, what are your thoughts on Jimmy Clausen from Notre Dame?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Clausen was here on a visit the other day. I, like everyone else in the building that came in contact with him, came away very impressed. We really feel like he's going to be a good NFL quarterback.
Bruce Brewer, Tulsa, Ok
1:08 PM CT
I've been a loyal Rams fan since 1966, so you can see I've been through the thick and the thin. The last several years the Rams defense has been weak against the run. What are you doing to stop this RBs from tearing us up?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Fred Robbins was a "big" signing for us. He was brought in specifically to help stop the run. Na'il Diggs is a really good run down player. But football is a team game. We can help our run defense by the offense staying on the field more.
Drew, Missouri
1:10 PM CT
Great of you to take the time to talk to us billy. I have been a rams fan ever since they broke ground on the Edward Jones Dome. Ever since the beginning days of your move to st. Louis, it seems as though our receiving corps has always been a standout. Recently there has been a lot of talk about how its rated lower than it has ever been, any insight as to what the draft might hold for this position? and is there any player you think that might step up and become a playmaker?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
We went young last year at that position. A lot of our guys got valuable playing time that will pay off for us this year. We have high hopes for a number of these guys and so far we see a huge improvement in our receiver group as compared to last year.
Derek, Brea, California
1:11 PM CT
From a GM's standpoint what has been the hardest part so far getting ready for the draft?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
The hardest part comes thinking about the players at the top of the first round. There are some great, great candidates and trying to create separation between them has been very difficult.
Mike, New York
1:12 PM CT
Mr. Devaney, The WR is what interests me for the 2nd or 3rd round pick. Are the Rams looking for more #2 prototype WR such as Avery or a new big time #1 WR?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
We are just looking for playmakers in general. P.S. I'd recommend Jerry Manuel from the Mets do the same.
Craig Reed, College Station, TX
1:13 PM CT
Are the Rams still trying to aquire Haynesworth
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Huh?
Randy, Los Angeles
1:14 PM CT
Which strategy do you see the Rams taking over the next few months? Building the team slowly and making the plaoyoffs in a few years, or looking to win and make the playoffs next season?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
The only objective is to win. That's what drives us every day. We are trying to make this team better in the short term and the long term. I think we can do that.
Jack Barker, Bakersfield, CA
1:16 PM CT
Can you tell us about Sam Bradford's visit on Tuesday?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
It went just as expected. He's a classy guy. Everybody in the building was very impressed with the way he carried himself. He also let it be known to anyone who would listen how he dunked on Gerald McCoy at Oklahoma.
Robert, texas
1:20 PM CT
why was marc bulgar let go ? why not seek a trade with him ?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Shoot, Robert. You guys in Texas are really smart. Why didn't I think of that?
Drew, Nyc
1:20 PM CT
Are you a Mets fan? otherwise thats a cheap shot
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Dude, my two brothers in New Jersey are diehard Mets fans. P.S. here's another cheap shot, Reyes hurt yet?
montoy, st.louis
1:21 PM CT
How are your feelings about Keith Null, will he compete for the starting job?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
People here hold Keith in high regard. No matter who we select, no matter what position, no matter where they are drafted, we will play the people that give us the best chance to win.
Timothy M, Columbia, MO
1:22 PM CT
How do you feel our previous two first round picks, Chris Long and Jason Smith, are progressing?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
We all feel great about both guys. They are part of the foundation that is going to help turn this around.
Jon, Park Hills, MO
1:26 PM CT
During a draft, when does a player's grade make his position irrelevant? For instance, what if a center (a rare position where the Rams are well-stocked) is the highest rated player on the board in the middle rounds? Does need outweigh grade?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
The grade basically almost always the position not relevant. The grade is what drives the pick. You do have some leeway if the grades are close by each other but if there is a significant gap you always go by the grade regardless of position.
pman, PA
1:27 PM CT
How important is the #33 & what will it take for someone to get it with the new draft format every team will have 24 hrs to think about who is still on the board that just slipped out of the 1st round
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
No. 33 is huge. We know we are either going to get an excellent player there or possibly move back a few spots to add draft picks and still get an excellent player. We probably won't know until Friday morning what direction we will go.
Phil C, Quincy, IL
1:29 PM CT
Hey Billy, and recent talks about possibly adding Antonio Pierce to the LB core?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
No.
Eric, Salt Lake City, Utah
1:29 PM CT
Billy, thanks for your time. Can you share with us a key question you ask players to establish true heart aside from physical attributes? Similar to Bill Polians "If we made you the first pick what is the first thing you'd do?"
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Yeah, there are many questions that we use to try to get to a player's thinking. One in particular is "What are your goals?" Of course, we like to hear about winning games, winning championships, not making Pro Bowls.
Drew, Nyc
1:31 PM CT
Your a funny guy with a good sense of humor, guess you need that to be a GM. Good luck next week.
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Thanks. Go Cards.
Anthony Gentile, Danbury,Ct
1:31 PM CT
Mr Moderator.please post my question..Mr Devaney Do you think it makes more sense to draft a DT like Suh or McCoy that can make an immediate impact, rather than drafting a QB that you hope will develop?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Anthony, you're killing me. But it's a valid question that we are still working through.
Larry, ft lauderdale , florida
1:34 PM CT
Hi i have been a rams fan for 35 yrs . i am happy with any thing you do , just keep doing smart things. Can you get more florida players please ?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Larry, you may be happy when the draft is over.
Ernie, Oklahoma City
1:35 PM CT
Do you get tired of hearing who you should and shouldn't draft? Mostly from fans that don't understand?
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Absolutely not. I love it. I have the same passion as they do about this stuff. I love hearing everyone's opinions.
General Manager Billy Devaney, Stlouisrams.com
Gotta get back to draft meetings. For real people, we have not decided what we are doing with the first pick yet. Ya'll make the same points that we continue to make in our meetings. Would love to get your feedback one more time. We can do this at J. Buck's downtown on Tuesday. I'll be bringing some special guests along. Be there from 5-7. We may know who we're taking by that point. But even if we do you know damn well, I'm not telling you. Peace out.
