  • Big Ben Idea

What would people say if we could give up our 2nd and 5th rounder to get Big Ben ( I agree and understand his personality reputation suck majorly) but we would get a Good Proven QB although with character flaws and still pick up SUH in the 1st round.

In essence the point I am making is that Suh & Big Ben > Sam Bradford & BPA or Suh & Colt McCoy. What would people think about this idea if it were to happen?

NOTE: I am aware of all the hate/dislike for BB but thought an idea was worthwhile to post for mentioning sake if no more.

I doubt they let him go for that but I wouldn't mind putting up with ben to get suh.

Could be 2nd and 4th with conditional or something like that. But its if the Rooneys are sick of him and want him gone it could happen.

Might want to rethink how bad you want this guy. Sure he's never been convicted, but 4-6 games and "clinical evaluators" sounds like trouble to me.

Per Mort & Schefter on ESPN:

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for four to six games on Wednesday for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, according to multiple sources.

When the suspension is announced, it will contain conditions that will allow it to be reduced based on Roethlisberger's behavior and compliance with clinical evaluators.

Commissioner Roger Goodell's verdict will reinforce a message that NFL employees will be held to a higher standard than the law.
Steelers employees were bracing Tuesday night for what they suspected would be an eight-game suspension, but two sources said it would not be eight games.

The only thing I like about Ben in our offense is his ability to take repeated hits, while maintaing an above average bill of health.

He may not fit right to our system, but I'd be all right with it. BB is a tough hombre and a fiesty competitor.

And a few blows to the head away from being mentally retarded.

                Pass.

if we were to use that second round pick to draft a QB, he would likely play more games this season than Roethlisberger will. So no, i dont want to trade for him. I would rather just get Bradford

                    Re: Big Ben Idea

Espn radio had a report that Steelers called Rams over weekend and offered Big Ben and rams said NO THANKS. Good decision.

Yeah Adam Schefter is reporting that the Steelers have called the Rams, Niners, Raiders, Bills, Jags, Seahawks and Browns and offered them Roethlisberger

The Rams and Bills have definitely said no so far. Weird they would call the Browns though, being a division opponant and all
