Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
Yes I cant believe he fell to us and I do think he should be our guy. We need outside linebackers and he is a good one. I didnt think he would fall into the second round but there he sits. A lot of teams today did some strange trades to get guys they could have gotten if they had waited. Kindle would be a great pick tomorrow.Aim high Willis, Aim High! -
Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
I'd be happy if we traded back a few spots and still landed one of the guys you listed and accumulated more picks. Someone may want to trade up ahead of the Vikings to grab Clausen at the top of the 2nd round.Aim high Willis, Aim High!Comment

Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
I wasn't able to watch most of the draft tonight live as I was out, but I was following some of the picks on my phone, though the flurry of trades around the midpoint of the round led me to lose track of things. I got home when the Packers were on the clock, but decided to watch each pick, as I DVR'd the draft tonight. I had been watching NFL Network, but once I caught up with the live broadcast with about 3 picks to go, I flipped over to ESPN during a commercial. I saw Kiper's list of best available players and saw Kindle's name on there, at which point I almost fell off the couch in shock.
I think our plan for round 2 should be as follows: see if somebody is willing and able to put together a good trade package for our #33 pick. With Clausen on the board, maybe a team looking for a QB will want to trade up and we can get good value for the pick. If no offers are deemed acceptable given the circumstances, take Sergio Kindle.Comment

Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
We really need an outside linebacker and Kindle is a tremendous value at the top of the 2nd. If we can trade back a couple spots and still get one of those four that would work for me also. We can't go wrong with any one of them. All are positions of need. But, if you're true to your board, I think that makes Kindle the pick if you stay at no. 33.Comment

Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
After posting I read over some info on him, and now I'm not as sure if he's as good of a fit for the Rams as I initially thought. Apparently he has some off the field issues, including a DUI arrest, driving into a building and fleeing the scene, plus some academic issues. Not sure if that kind of resume will make it past the 4 Pillars. He may also have some knee problems.Comment

Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
Why would Mays be a great pick for us? He is a thumper no doubt but is suspect in coverage at best. His old coach had two picks in the first round and his team needed a safety and even his old coach didnt think he was better than either of the other guys. We have Atogwe and Butler we dont need to surplus at any position before we fill our positions of need first.Aim high Willis, Aim High!Comment

Re: Is Sergio Kindle our guy?
Is kindle really a fit for us? he seems perfect in a 3-4 scheme, but can he be a real defensive end (where i dont know that he can hold up vs the run) or a real 4-3 linebacker (can he cover at all?)
i worry that in our scheme he is a tweener.
I think we trade the pick.
