  • If Rams trade pick #33 in round 2 for? What is it Worth?

The last couple of years I've watched the NFL draft. The announcers have said, the first pick in round two on the second day of the draft is worth a bunch. It is like starting a whole new draft over again.

If Rams trade the 1st round pick and get either Browns or Redskins 2nd round pick in this years draft. The Rams will be picking early in round two anyway with there pick.

First option, Would Ram fans be happy trading pick #33 for a first round pick next year.

Second option, trade down for more draft picks.

Third, for a player and maybe a future pick.

how about down a few spots and an additional Round 4 pick -- since we lost a round 5 for Brandon Lloyd

I'd trade one of our 2nd rounders for two 3's and a 6th. All depends who were trading with really and what picks they have available.

I don't know if I would trade it. It would take a big offer for me to be happy with it.

Having the chance to pick up two solid players in the second round is very enticing to me, and I would rather do that then drop down and pick a few more not as talented players.

By the table, #33 would be worth a first next year and probably a 4th this year, depending on whom we traded with.

In reality, it all depends on who surprisingly drops out of the 1st round. I expect someone who will be very good for the Rams will be there and we'll pick him up as opposed to trading. Probably a DT, WR or OG/C.
          I believe!:ram:

Unless a specific player the team likes is there, I certainly wouldn't mind trading it for a conditional 1st next year. Conditional, meaning if it's not a top 10 pick, you also owe me a 3rd rounder next year.

Yeah, that sounds good to me.

              Lots of variables in play.

I'd be all for trading the pick unless there is a cant miss first round prospect that somehow slipped passed the first round, which is quite possible.

I agree with your statement. The only position in this draft that is heavy with first round talent is DT.

I still like the possibility of trading down for more picks. That includes the 6th & 33rd pick.

Rams biggest needs in order of need.

                1st DT need 2
2nd Deep threat WR with speed. Rams drafted slower possession type WR's last year.
                3rd OT
4th OLB (2nd year still wishing on OLB Manny Lawson) Played great for BenGALS
                5th CB
Back up RB, 2nd DT and any O-line depth (please don't resign Goldberg) Never have enough WR's and RB's 3rd down back or change of pace back.

                  1. Rams trade their second round pick and 2009 first round pick to Miami for the first pick in the draft.

                  2. Rams trade their second round pick in 2009 and 2010 first round pick for the third pick in the draft.

                  3. Rams trade their second round pick in 2010 and 2011 first round pick for the fourth pick in the draft.

                  4. Rams trade their second round pick in 2011 and 2012 first round pick for the fifth pick in the draft.

Etc., etc., etc... until the Rams have all of the first round picks this year!

                  What do you think?

WR... like the Hated patriots. They trade a 4th round pick for a proven Deion Branch. Why would we have we not given a 3rd Round pick for Branch.

What would it take to trade back into Round 2?
                  by AvengerRam_old
Looking at the Trade Value Chart, there are a couple of possibilities:

Package both 3rd round picks (#71, #92) for a second round pick
The Rams two 3rd rounders are worth a total of 367 points. This equates to a second round pick in the range of pick #52-55.

Package a 3rd (#71) and fourth (#113) round pick for a second round pick
These picks are valued at 303 points, which equates to a selection at the end of the second round, around #59-61.

                  Use future draft picks
I would not even consider putting one of the Rams' two 2014 first round picks on the block at this point, but I might consider a deal that includes a Day 2 2014 pick if it meant getting one of the top safeties remaining (Cyprien, S.Thomas).

Anyone like any of these options?

                  2nd round trade
                  by timsum1283
so with the new format of the nfl draft, there will be a lot of down time between the 32nd pick and the 33rd. as someone previously mentioned that gives a lot of time for teams to be wheeling and dealing for 2nd round picks. If u are Billy D, what does it take for u to trade pick #33? players? picks?

this is just me spitballing but every year the denver broncos seem to make a lot of draft day trades (and always seem to draft a rb). do u think if given the right situation they would be willing to trade Brandon Marshall or next year's 1st for the Rams 2nd this year? if so would u make that trade?

it's likely that a player with first round talent will drop to round 2 like Best, Tate, Kindle, maybe even Mays/Dunlap. IMO if a player like Weatherspoon isn't there I would really like to trade down in round 2 and pick up some extra picks down the road. would you be interested in trading it for more picks/players or would u rather be content with staying at spot #33?
