Only 6 out of your 40 are on offense. Not criticising or disagreeing with you... it's just telling of Rams' needs

NFL Draft 2018: Best players available for second, third rounds
    April 26, 2018 11:49pm EDT

    Published on Apr. 26, 2018

The list of best players available as the 2018 NFL Draft moves to the second round includes several prospects who easily could have been selected in the first round. There is value to be had in Day 2 of the draft at running back, wide receiver, offensive line and cornerback, specifically.

Just because a player is still available as the NFL Draft moves to Day 2 does not mean he isn’t as likely to succeed as a first-rounder — far from it. Many second-round picks have gone on to Hall of Fame-caliber pro careers. The same can be said for third-round picks.

Below are the best players available at each position as the 2018 NFL Draft moves to the second and third rounds. They’re based on player rankings from SN’s pre-draft big board of the top 100 prospects.

    Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
    Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond
    Mike White, QB, Western Kentucky
    Luke Falk, QB, Washington State
    Riley Ferguson, QB, Memphis

    Running backs

    Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
    Mark Walton, RB, Miami (Fla.)

    Nyheim Hines, RB, N.C. State
    Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
    Kerryon Johnson, RB, Auburn
    Bo Scarbrough, RB, Alabama
    Kalen Ballage, RB, Arizona State

    Wide receivers
    Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M
    Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU

    Wonderlic Scores from Combine
    by ramhard
Here are the full list of wonderlic scores from combine. I don't think they mean too much on the defense side of the ball (except for safeties and middle linebackers). I think they mean more to offensive players, especially those that have to make reads and learn the Rams complicated playbook. The concern is that neither Brown (12) or Barnes (16) did all that great. The average is 21.9 with average for OT about 25, with Center and QB having the highest average position score (read and make decisions positions, followed by TE's and ILB (same read and make decisions). The lowest are the reaction positions (WR, CB, RB). Here are the average scores by position, and then the full list individually. I think in the past the Rams have looked at this favorably (didn't Curtis score high).

    Pos. Avg.

    (C) 28.2
