Crabtree update: Michael Crabtree has decided he won't sign at the market price being offered by the *****, a source said. It's pretty clear the ***** aren't going to up their offer, which is roughly what the 10th pick in the draft should receive -- a five-year, $20 million deal that could max out at $26.5 million. This holdout is destined to go into the regular season, and neither side has a solution to end it.

Re: Clayton: Crabtree won't sign for market price
Being offered "roughly" the market price for a 10th round pick?
I don't agree with these kids that have never played 1 down in the NFL holding out for more money. But there is more to this story that isn't being shared.
Of course anything that effects the Whiners in a negative way is fine with me.

Crabtree won't sign for the market price? Then I guess he won't sign. At least he's only asking for top 5 money and not Mathew Stafford money.Comment

Re: Clayton: Crabtree won't sign for market price
Just a bone-headed move, he needs to swallow his pride and go sign for 10th overall money. They called your bluff, game's over... now go play some football.
On a different note: let's say he signs in the next couple weeks, when do you think he'd be inserted into the lineup? How long before he'd start?Comment

Re: Clayton: Crabtree won't sign for market price
Bo Jackson did this. He went from #1 overall to a 7th rounder. Does Crabtree think he'll do better than that? Now, ultimately, he might. Because he doesn't have baseball to fall back on. However, I'd be surprised if he went 1st round. The more things change, the more they stay the same.Comment

Same, he'd be off his rocker to wait and reenter the draft next year.
He'd probably find himself in the same situation anyways, falling to the third round next time but demanding second round money.Comment

Re: Clayton: Crabtree won't sign for market price
The amount of money these guys get...It's sickening that he NEEDS more. Michael...you really NEED more than $20 million? That's not enough to live comfortably the rest of your life? Are you kidding me?Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis RamsComment

Re: Clayton: Crabtree won't sign for market price
Exactly why they should have a rookie cap like the NBA. I'm glad it's the Whiners and not us. But if he does make it into the top 10 next year, it will set a presidence.Comment
