Grading the Rams after their 23-12 victory over the Seattle Seahawks:
Quarterback
For the second time in his career, Marc Bulger has posted back-to-back passer
ratings of 100-plus.
GRADE . . . A minus
Running backs
The 1-2 punch at its best, with Marshall Faulk gaining a season-high 139 yards,
and Stephen Jackson scoring his second touchdown in the NFL.
GRADE . . . A
Receivers
There were a couple of drops, including a costly one by Shaun McDonald over the
middle in the end zone.
GRADE . . . B
Offensive line
Despite Orlando Pace's ejection and Chris Dishman's injury, this unit performed
a 180 compared to last week.
GRADE . . . A
Defensive line
The effort was there, but there wasn't much of a pass rush, or enough
resistance on run defense.
GRADE . . . C minus
Linebackers
Some improvement from recent weeks, both in shedding blockers and getting to
the ball.
GRADE . . . B minus
Secondary
Easily its best outing of the year. Travis Fisher's impact on coverage is
beginning to be felt.
GRADE . . . A
Special teams
No huge breakdowns, but kickoff coverage is still lacking. Arlen Harris
provided some spark on kickoff returns.
GRADE . . . B minus
Coaching
With his team in a do-or-die dilemma, Mike Martz's extreme approach during the
practice week paid dividends.
GRADE . . . A
