NFL | To Schedule Two Monday Night Football Games?--Interesting
        by RamWraith
        - from www.KFFL.com
        Sun, 4 Jul 2004 09:21:16 -0700

Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue said the league is considering the idea of scheduling two Monday Night Football games in the future and selecting the better one to televise nationally. "We could start out with a single game on Monday night in the schedule and go to two games scheduled on Monday night later in the season, when the uncertainties are bigger," Tagliabue told the Los Angeles Times. "So there would be a lot of ways to do it. That's a priority, and it's also a priority for Sunday night as well."

        "Monday Night Football" Ratings Down
        by DJRamFan
NEW YORK — Green Bay's win over Carolina in the first game of the season on ABC's "Monday Night Football," was the second-most watched prime-time show of the week, trailing only NBC's debut episode of the "Friends" spinoff "Joey."

The game had a rating of 12.5 with a 21 share, the lowest for a season opener on "Monday Night Football" since at least 1994, but still the highest-rated television show of the night. Last year's opener had a rating of 13.3.

The 17 telecasts last season averaged an 11.5 rating with a 19 share, and it was the first time since 1994 that the average rating had not declined.

A ratings point represents 1,096,000 households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 109.6 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.

        by 1980RAMS
This Monday night game is going to be one embarrassing night to be a Rams Fan. I hope you are all preparing for it in your own way. Wilson is going to torch us on national television. It's going to make the thurs night game vs the whiners look like chuckie cheese.
