I know it's early, but he's looking pretty good for the Steelers right now. This is his first real pro game. I think the Rams should try and make a trade to get him. Might as well get him while his stock is low.

maybe if we dont give up to much, but he is palying on the defending superbowl champions buldger would look all pro on that team. although he can make great plays with his legs he needs to show he can make more plays with his arm. -

haha..have been watching the Steelers game and wondered if a thread about us going after Dixon would be started up on here...he has looked quite impressive (after 2 quarters) but well...i dont think weve seen enough to make him our future franchise QB,which i believe we will be looking for in the off-season..just yet.Comment

Ignoring Dixon's messed up knee for five seconds....
You think Pittsburgh is going to give up a young QB with a concussion-prone Roethlisberger?
The trade price will be too high.Comment

Charlie Batch is their back-up though. Dixon is a 3rd string QB. We could probably get him with a 4th round pick and someone else.Comment

TO be devils advocate, he had a torn acl in college. No other injuries, this hardly makes him injury prone. Though i agree that we havent seen enough of him to make a franchise qb out of him.Comment

Oh...and Batch is an 11 year veteran, which presumably means he is on the tail end of his career. Dixon could very well supplant him on the Steelers depth chart next year.Comment

Bad idea, Dixon nearly threw an interception everytime he was up against a zone defense. He found some success being product of the system, alot of it was yards after catch by his recievers too.
Why not draft your guy in the first next year? Theres gonna be some nice QB's available, IE Sam Bradford unless he stays for his senior year.Comment

Did any of you guys actually watch the game yesterday? I realize that by the second game of the day, most of us have had a few brews, but really, couldn't you see this kids talent? Forget Dixon. Null was thrown in at the last moment, threw some excellent passes down field (far down field, as well as I've seen all year) showed an almost Montana like coolness in spite of the 5 INTs and showed good commmand of his team. I really sensed a good deal of respect from his fellow players and some of those INTs simply were not his fault. He knew he couldn't win without taking a few chances, as they were behind by a lot very early, so he did what he had to do - BRAVO! I hope to see him start the rest of the season so we can be fairly sure about NOT needing a quarterback before the draft. This year's crop sucks anyway. By the way, guess how many of the top ten quartercacks in the NFL have not had a 5 INT game. You might be surprised.Comment
