Re: Holt signs with Patriots
Patriots sign Holt to one-year contract Posted: April 20th, 2010
It wasn’t too long ago that free agent WR Torry Holt stopped by the NFL Network and discussed the best fits for a potential new team. A day before the NFL Draft, Holt now has that new team.
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reports that Holt has signed a one-year, $1.7 million contract with the New England Patriots, according to a league source.
Holt, 33, had interest from a handful of teams following his release from the Jaguars, but put priority on joining a winning team with an elite quarterback that, most importantly, was respected around the league. It sounds like he got his wish with the Patriots, who always seemed like a good fit.
The Patriots have a need at receiver with questions still surrounding the health status of slot receiver Wes Welker. Holt now provides a veteran opposite Randy Moss for the Patriots, who also recently brought back veteran David Patten.

Holt a Pat. Wait What?
i don't know about the rest of you but I am very upset that Holt signed with the Patriots. This is team that beat us in a Superbowl we should have one. (Spygate Maybe). whats going on? nobody else wants him. he may be slowing down but still one of the best route runners in the gam.
