Two teams remain in play for the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft: The Houston Texans and St. Louis Rams.

The Texans are in the lead for the top pick, thanks to their worst-in-the-league record of 2-13. If Houston loses to Tennessee on Sunday, then the first overall pick goes to Houston.

But St. Louis, which owns Washington’s first-round pick thanks to the 2012 Robert Griffin III trade, also remains in contention. If Washington loses on Sunday and Houston wins, then Washington would likely move ahead of Houston in the draft order (thanks to the strength of schedule tiebreaker), and the pick that Washington would send to St. Louis would be No. 1 overall.

No other teams have a shot at the first pick, but there’s still a wild race for picks 3-8: The 4-11 Browns, Raiders, Jaguars and Buccaneers, plus the 4-10-1 Vikings and 4-10 Falcons (who play tonight), are all in contention for the third pick in the draft but could all fall as far as No. 8 in the draft order.

Next in the draft order are the 6-9 Bills, Titans and Giants, followed by the 7-8 Lions, Jets, Steelers and Rams. Yes, the Rams will have two picks in the first half of the first round. And maybe the first pick overall.

Cliff Brunt, of the Associated Press, Houston Texans general manager Charley Casserly said Sunday, Feb. 25, that the Texans have been talking to teams about possibly trading the first pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. "There's clearly players at the top of this draft that are marquee players," Casserly said. "Players that are impact players, players that are going to go to the Pro Bowl, players that are going to sell tickets. We're going to get offers for this pick. We've already had discussions with teams. I think there's value in our pick."

Small league, 8 owners, everyone has studs. We play Team QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, K, and DEF.

I was the 8th pick and all the 1st tier RB's were gone. Looks okay as long as I don't get hit by the injury bug again...

But... if the Giants can hold a 17-6 lead, the Rams will clinch #2.
