Super Bowl Poll #3 - Offense or Defense? How would you start?

Last week in the chatroom, a majority of us wanted to start on defense and set the tone. Look what happened!!!!

I've been sqwaking about this D all year and I for one would love to pin the Pats with a 3 and out then punt.

I would love to set the tone with our D coming out tough. This has been an awesome defense to watch and to tear up their offence early might give them a fair warning of whats to come.:ram:

Give the Patsies their "Last Request" and let them choose their poison. They get the ball first, our MIGHTY D steps on the field for three plays and then a punt. We get the ball first, GAME OVER....

After reading some news articles I think it may not matter. New Englands DB Ottis Smith is commenting on the turf situatoin and its making me smell fear. They are already giving excuses for their loss. Its never good when you publically give reasons for trouble...It means your scared....

I always feel better when the Rams start on defense and get the ball first in the second half.I even felt that way when the team was struggling in the early 90's,but now with the way our defense is playing,we know they are capable of getting first drive turnovers

The offense will be on the field within 3 plays anyway. The D will come up with an INT and hand the field over to Kurt and the boys in the first 60 seconds.

Your right Maxin Mo. We'll shut them down . Any way we go we'll do ok. I do, however like having the ball first after halftime. So I still hope we send out the D first.

i always start on D on Playstation. I feel more comfortable knowing that we get the ball after halftime. Plus, our defense can handle coming out first, just ask the Eagles...

Gotta say I agree with the D starting us off! Let the Pats get their Punter warmed up for a long afternoon.

Also love the Rams "O" having the ball first after halftime.

I think it`s always easier to play defence first, not the same kind of pressure. But I would always have the ball first and build up a lead which leads to more pressure on the opposing offense to keep up and by the second half you may have built up a lead which is easier to defend ie. only have to pass defend.

I'm gonna go with the majority and vote for the defense. Any sort of stand by the defense in the opening drive would give the Rams momentum right away, plus the ball would go to the Rams first in the second half. If we get the ball first and don't score, the Pats fans will go crazy and their team will gain momentum. In games like this, momentum is very important. Defense, defense, defense.
