Does this mean we're IR'ing Bulger?

Well 16, teams typically keep 3 QBs on the roster. Since Bulger's out, don't you think it would be the intelligent thing to do to bring someone in who should know the system better than a street free agent?

Here's a link to the story. Sure enough, Smoker is signed to our active roster.

this type of reasoning is way too much for some people to understand.

Who did we cut? I dont think we will IR bulger yet. One or two more losses and we just might do so, but i think that for PR purposes, putting him on IR is giving up for the season and we all know how sensitive the FO is to looking like they are giving up, notwithstanding what we on this board know to be the reality of the prospects or lack thereof for us for the rest of this season.

Well put it this way. They better mold the QB for next year cause if Warners thumb was a problem, Bulger's shoulder will be even worse! So get ready for a new era at QB. If they don't move in this direction, Next year is gonna be even longer!

Would'nt you like to be a Smoker too? As much as some of you like to downgrade the Rams picks, Jeff Smoker is a good qb. I have so much love for this team maybe I am looking through rose colored glasses, but he sure looked like a field general to me.

                  Wed, 19 Oct 2005 17:54:56 -0700

St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson could play a larger role during Week 7, as the Rams will be without QB Marc Bulger (shoulder) and WR Isaac Bruce (toe). While Jackson is on pace for a 1,000-yard rushing season, he has yet to have a breakout game and is still looking for his first 20-carry game and 100-yard game of the season. Despite losing a costly fumble against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, Jackson looked good during the game.
