:lid: Well it's been some time now and I guess I can talk about my Rams without using swear words.I don't know what team the NEP played but it was not the Rams, not at least the ones I've been watching all season.I say this without taking anything away from the Pats defense, but we have got some of fastest recievers in the NFL and our O line been right there all season(s)...."The better team did not win"!!! just maybe the better coached team did. Can't wait for the season opener, true blue & gold celtic_ram:lid:

True Rams...
Very good point Celtic_Ram. In a "poetic" way, if you will, the 2001 Rams were not at SB XXXVI.
Yes, the N.E. Patriots deserved to win -- hey!, they hung in there the entire season! Brady is good but definitely not a Kurt Warner. They don't have a Faulk, Bruce, Holt or Proehl. They lack the strength of a Rams offensive line along with its TEs. And I'm not talking about "superstars" here. It's a matter of POWER.
The Pats certainly have a good overall team ...but they sure don't possess the spark of an impressive, outstanding, surprising D like the one the Rams produced this year! Rams are just too much POWER.
:ram:
What a promise, what a hope we have in the NFL to look forward to... knowing that this Rams team will remain largely the same for the new season.
The true Rams will be there, stronger and wiser. No "upsets."

I am still devastated by the loss, but I will always love the Rams.I think that is why the loss hurt so bad.It was a big letdown after one of the greatest Ram seasons ever.I think everyone(even the fans that hate us)know the Rams should have won that game.Oh well,we will be back with a fury next season.GO RAMS!!!ST.LOUIS RAMS:THE MOST FRUSTRATING TEAM IN THE NFL!!!Comment

Of course I still in love with my Rams
Hey, we're still being Rams on victory or defeat.
Too bad they gave the Pat's the chance to win. You really feel how much you love your team when it loses a championship game. The real fans will be in pain while the others will go and support another team, Don't you agree?
I'm dying for the new season to start!!!

by mxbrianNow is not the time to relax. Ask Mike Martz who he thinks the toughest team was in the regular season that the Rams faced, he'll say the Patriots. He's been quoted several times saying that the Pats game was the toughest of the year.
Ask Bill Cower what he thinks of the Patriots.
The Rams are clear favorites in SBXXXVI as they should be but I think the Patriots pose some serious problems for the Rams that should be considered:
Troy Brown, underrated, very confident, scares me on special teams.
Antwoin Smith, underrated, runs north and south very well, can be punishing.
Defensive Scheme, always a surprise with the Pats.
The Rams will win this game, but I just hope they don't overlook the importance of this game in the history of the modern NFL.
To do what they might do on Sunday will be nothing short of remarkable considering the modern NFL and salary cap/parity.
I actually heard Tom Jackson say the word DYNASTY last night. That is what we are looking at if the Rams win on Sunday.
One last comment, why in the world would you throw the ball in the direction of Aneas Williams? Oops !!!
Great game all the way around. Turnover ratio in the playoffs, Rams have 10 takeaways and 1 interception. How's that for a turnaround?
GO RAMS !!!!:ram: :ram: :ram:-

by GuestYes, I shudder at the thought. But before ya'll panic, there are a couple differences between the two. First off, the bravos LOST there first meeting at the Big Show(1991), whereas the Rams WON(99). As a matter of fact, the Bravos lost their second meeting as well. Also, the braves have been there 5, count em' FIVE times and have only one ONCE. Rams of course twice and won once. But this is where the differences end.
Braves did, do, great in regular season, have tons of front runner fans, and fizzle out at the end. I see the same thing in the Rams. I'm not saying the Rams "fizzled" last year, but it's pretty close, in sports terms. And even in 2000, when they didn;'t even make it, the Rams started out very strong, then fizzled. The Braves, because they've only got one ring to show for it, look like bums IN MY EYES! The Rams will be picked to win it all this year, just like the braves used to be years ago. "Too much talent" the media says. I hate that connotation!! I DON"T WANT THIS HAPPENING TO THE RAMS!! I BELIEVE THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID THIS COMPARISON IS A SB WIN THIS YEAR. HEY THAT'S A LOT OF PRESSURE, I KNOW, BUT I'D RATHER HAVE 1 MORE WIN IN THE SB, THAN SHOW UP 5 MORE TIMES AND LOSE!!!!!!!!
Look, I'll be a Rams fan for life, that's for sure, I just feel it's imperative they don't look like those Bills (sorry DJ) or Braves, who seem to have NOTHING to show for all the talent they supposedly had. Can the Rams be like my great Yankees?!!Do it for me GOD!!
But seriously, The Rams are going ALL THE WAY next year BABY!!! AM I ALONE?? NO WAY, JUST ASK YODA!! !;)

by txramsfanThe Rams have a very solid chance of placing themselves in the history books today. The matchups against the Patriots are really in our favor. I love the thought of Milloy against Hakim. If Hakim holds onto the ball, oh my. Otis Smith dosen't have the same speed as Holt, so look for #88 to be open. Also, the LB's don't really scare anyone. The Patriots were ranked 24th in pass defense this year. Very stubborn in the red zone, but I have a feeling it was more reflective of the competition rather than the defense. Miami, Jets and Bills weren't know for their scoring prowess this year.
They got here somehow, but this is the right team for the Rams to handle and win their 2nd Championship in 3 years.
LETS GO RAMS :lid: :lid:-

by RamWraithWOW...where to start.
I know I love this team and when the chips get down I try to remember the magical season of 1999. I try to remember what it means to be a good fan and how I would I feel if I was in the players position under hostile attacks by "fans". I try to remember what is truly important in life and how so much of my being a fan is out of my control.
We all want this team so badly to be perfect. We all start the year with so many hopes and dreams, and it hurts like hell when them dreams get crushed. For me, each week is a new dream and when things like this happen in a season it is then I have to look ahead and hope for the best each week and not look so much at the past. For me win or lose I will always bleed Blue and Gold. No one will ever take that away from me. And no ones opinions will ever change that love.
There is always hope...it just is a different kind of hope as the season changes. It may no longer be that of the Super Bowl for that year, but maybe it is seeing a player break a record, or maybe it is a player growing into their position on the team. Or maybe it is a draft pick, or maybe it is knowing you have an opportunity to see the team you love in person. No matter what it is, you have to hang on to it. You must remember what exactly makes you a fan of this team. Is it purely based on a winning percentage or does it go deeper than that. True fans know the answer and they feel it deep inside. The reason we get so mad and look to blame anyone and point fingers across the street is because we truly love this team. We care so much it really hurts to fail. Our expectations coming into every season is to win them all. Truth be told...one team wins the game we all are hoping for. There will always be disappointments when you are a true fan. You will always have to face tests and adversity. We as fans will survive, even though it is painful we need to stand tall and be proud. We are Ram fanatics, win or lose. I haven't lost hope. Have you?-
