I think Cris wised up and realizes how close he is to losing his opportunity to play with the best. If he wants to be a part of us that bad, maybe we can shape him into a nice young man that fits our team.
Originally posted by Aries51 I say fork out a little more money and sign Ricky. Then draft another receiver in the mold of Az, but with better hands.
Forget about "Carah" and go for our proven Proehl, he's the right PRO! ;)
Ricky would be so much more reliable as a Ram -- too often a good person is better than a good player. And Proehl is both a great guy plus a playmaker. He knows how to signal 1st down after a catch!
• Proehl is a savvy receiver at 34 (just last week). CC's maturity is questionable at nearly 37.
• Everyone knows No. 87 knows the system well, he knows everyone there, players, coaches and the fans love him!
• Bottom line: why bother? Would CC accept less $ than Proehl? If so, the more reason to go with Pro.
You're right Aries51: dish out more money and keep our man!
I was pro-Carter in the beginning, but have since cooled on him.I would hate to see us lose Ricky.Ricky Proehl is to Kurt Warner what Jay Novachek was to Troy Aikman. He is a very important part of our offensive attack.(By the way,did I spell Novachek right?)
The worst thing that could happen this off-season is too sign Carter. His attitude of last year and trip to Cleveland demonstrates his "me first" attitude. I hope Martz doesn't ruin the locker room morale.
