  • Compare the Rams Offense the last 2 years

I'd like to know some of your comparisents to the Rams offense in 99 and 00. I compare the offense to the old San Diego Chargers offense of the early 80's, infact the 2000 Rams were allot like those old Chargers. They had an explosive offense and would score 35-40 points but the defense would give up more in the long run. Let me know what some of you think.

    GO RAMS!

    I might regret this...

I might regret saying this but it may be also similar to the late 80's and early 90's whiners. Good quaterback and receivers and a running back who can catch and run the ball. Not as explosive as ours and our team obviously doesn't smell like theirs did then and does now. But I can see what you mean with San Diego, that team was the first to have a 4000yd passer, 2 X 1000yd receivers and a 1000yd running back in one season. The 89 rams were the next to acheive this and among others the present ram team has managed this too. ( I think my facts are right) So yeah up with the big guys this offense.

You caught some similarities there. And your definitely right that we are in no way like the whiners. Going back to my Chargers comparisent I think Kurt Warner is allot like Dan Fouts was in allot of ways, 2 very husky like qb's that sure can throw the ball and score allot of points. Difference being I think Warner has a better runningback in Marshall Faulk then what Fouts had in the early 80's with San Diego. I expect big numbers once again from the Rams in 2001, last years first half was amazing. The power of our offense was so exciting to watch. It died out during the injuries but sure came back in that game against the Vikings, that was an awesome 1st quarter.

And just like fouts and warner, our team last year had an 80's san d problem. Space age offense, stone age defense. But were sorting that out!

Well now we still have a space age offense, and our defense could be in the spage age mode within a few years once they gel together.
