  • Leonard Little?

I read in a magazine at work that L.L. may be going to prison after the season? Felony manslaughter drunk driving. Can anyone tell me this is not true?

I've heard that most of the court stuff will be taken care of after this season, so he shouldn't miss much playing time in '04. He's innocent until proven guilty. I can tell you for sure that the word "manslaughter" won't be included in this charge, thank gawd.

Evil you are so right about the "Manslaughter" charge? I just wanted to know if the rumor had any weight to it. And so correct about guilty til proven innocent. But will this hinder his abilities this year?

Why would manslaughter be an issue? I didn't think he hurt anyone this time?

Its not an issue this time, he was stopped on the freeway and there was no one else involved

                Re: Leonard Little?

The main thing I'm wondering: did LL get caught in the same state both times? I'm assuming he did since he's being charged with a repeat offender type of offense. However, if each incident occurred in different states that might make a big difference in what happens to him.

Regardless of whether or not he does jail time, he's most likely going to be suspended by the league if he's found guilty in any way. How many games he's suspended is debatable, but haven't some players had to sit out entire seasons due to violating the substance abuse policies multiple times? His first penalty was 4 games, so I'm guessing his second would be at least double that wouldn't it?

2004 may indeed be LL's swan song for a while. If he's hit with a lengthy suspension 2005 may be a squandered season for him.

Yes, it was the same State

First time was downtown St. Louis. This time it was in a suburb called Ladue. Very prominent suburb.

                    Very good points.

However, I think it's important to note that his first offense -- in which the NFL suspended him four games -- involved manslaughter. This one does not. I don't say that to diminish the crime, but it's not exactly the same situation as before. That said, I've no clue how that would affect his suspension, though, or what exactly the NFL took into account when they suspended him before.

Leonard Little- How stupid can teams be?
                      by general counsel
Leonard wreaked havoc all day yesterday. Truly an all pro performance. My question is this. After watching hundreds of hours of rams game film to prepare, how is it even humanly possible that opposing coaches dont understand that leonard must be doubled at the minimum at all times. We have no one else that can rush the passer. Helen Keller could see that. Why does leonard wind up singled up so often, or why do they just leave a back to chip down on him, which rarely if ever works?

I believe that leonard is the single most underated defensive player in the entire NFL.

:disapointed: Leonard little's numbers have dropped since 2003 I mean he shouldn't even
be playing after his drunk driving incident he has done twice. If he does not
step it up to the plate I think he should be traded.::

Will Leonard Little Start in 09?
                      by rams 24/7
I was Just Thinking Of our D-Line and nobody comes to mind as to be very dominate. But Little popped up and I was thinking will he start and have a 10+ sack year or will he get beat out by somebody who adventually comes along and just become a situational player or even just a mentor.

Anyone attending the leonard little trial?
                      by Guest
Will any of our RamBro's/clan members in the st louis area be attending the leonard little trial starting monday? I wonder if it will be on court tv. I care a lot more about this than i do the stupid michael jackson trial that is on ten hours a day.

I find it amazing that an event (ie the trial) that one way or another is going to have a MAJOR impact on the rams season is getting ZERO pre trial publicity in the post-dispatch. I wonder if AV should be adding this to his list of questions for his next battle against bernie. The trial is clearly newsworthy, regardless of your perspective on how it will come out.
