Blarney's Grits
February 27, 2006
With the departure of Mike Martz, it seemed the the turmoil that ripped apart the Rams and which, by the way, I broke as a story, you see, I mentioned it in vague articles that never provided any details and then acted as if I predicted Mike Martz's downfall even though he was fired after missing most of the season due to illness which I couldn't have known about and, oh, by the way, I predicted that the Rams would actually have a winning season in 2005...
But, anyway... as I was saying, a new round of turmoil rocked Rams Park today, as an unnamed visitor to the facility was unable to extract a Milky Way from the vending machine. When this individual confronted John Shaw about the situation, he told me, er, him that it wasn't a team priority to rectify the situation.
Shortly thereafter, a senseless act of vandalism occurred within the complex, resulting in the destruction of the very same vending machine and the theft of several candy bars, and a number of delicious salted snacks.
This latest incident demonstrates that Mike Martz was not the problem. Rather, there seems to be an inherent problem that just does not want to go away.
In an unrelated story, I'll be skipping the draft again this year to watch a meaningless early season baseball game, where there will be far less competition at the media courtesy buffet.
