  • Write an online persona bio for a regular Clan member (be nice!)

For the benefit of the dozens of new members who (hopefully) will join as the season approaches, I thought I'd start a thread to introduce the new people to the regulars.

So, write a bio describing the online persona of one of our regulars - and be nice! This is not a smack thread and anyone who tries to make it one will find their post deleted.

    I'll start with:

    txramsfan

Txramsfan (which, in my mind, has always been pronounced as "Tex"), is a no-nonsense poster from Texas (obviously). He is regarded by many (including myself) as the originator of the terms "Warnerite" and "Bulgerite" which are now commonly used on several Rams boards and in articles by many local writers (Though Dez claims that "Bulgerite was his"). While some believe he his a diehard "Bulgerite," he is, in fact, a pragmatist who does not care who plays QB, as long as the Rams win. He also likes to remind other Ram fans not to disregard the defense, as he believes that it is the key to the Rams' success. One of the most prolific posters on the board and a long time moderator, Tx is someone you should get to know.

Okay, who would like to post a bio? (and again, be nice!)

      Thanks Av & Dez,

I think mine will be RealRam....a.k.a. Jorge. RealRam lives in Washington State and is one of the most positive posters you could ever read. No matter what the situation is, RealRam is always pumping up the positive yet staying the course of his own convictions. Not one to let any riff raff happen on a board either, Jorge let's you know when you are stepping over the line.

Jorge has a knack of making you smile and realize life isn't as bad as we make it out to be. Make sure you say hello to RealRam.....a.k.a. Jorge.

I get to do this on the boss!

Dez is one the nicest people I have ever met. His love and passion for the Rams is second to none. He has given back to football as much as it has given him. When you have the pleasure of meeting this guy you would wonder if you were talking to a Scot or an alien :-)

Dez has been nothing but gracious to us humble Americans over the years. Besides his love of the Rams he cares a great deal about his wonderful wife and his 3 dogs. He also enjoys a good flick,a cup of ale and a good steak. You will never meet a nicer guy outside or inside of the Clan.

PS - You have to see the movie Shrek 2. This will give you an inside look at the big lug.

OK, I am doing Jason AKA "RamWraith"

Jason and myself go back a long long way, in fact to the origins of the ClanRam as it hit the world wide web.

If you were to look in the dictionary under loyal, Jason's name would be there.

The big lunk lives in the USA (up north somewhere .... Minnesota I believe although he moved not to long ago)

He has a loving family who put up with all his Ram activities even though they wont let him come to this years bash (hope this helps Jason ;) )

I am proud to call this guy a friend and brother.

                You know what's great?

                The ClanRam forums.

                You know why?

Because everyone here has an opinion, and nobody is afraid to express it. What's more, nobody forces anything on each other. It is this difference in opinion which has allowed the Clan to thrive, as I've seen it, in the past 2 years. The barriers on what you can and can't say concerning our rams are wide. Everyone knows their limits, and expresses their own opinions within them. But they're not so razor thin that they impel uniformity upon our Clan. They provide a medium for discussion, and that's what makes this place so interesting.

How great would the Clan be if everyone was posting the same boring drivel, be it optimistic or pessimistic, becuase they were confined to the limits of eveybody else's opinions? Which is why I think It's great that we have such wide debate, and that we have posters that have the balls to say "we'll end up 0-16" and others who take the time to provide a slightly more positive sentiment.

And the fantastic thing is, we level each other out. There is no lopsided majority that feels necessitated to vent agressively after each loss- sure, we have posters who do vent, as it's been labelled, because, in reality, it's only human nature. But what's better is that this "venting" encourages people to "vent" right back- in either disagreement or affirmation. And it's great that we have posters who have the courage to say "no, no- here's where you're wrong"

What's interesting is how things can be interpreted. I know that everything said here is meant in the spirit of quality debate and discussion, and it's a shame to see people read it the wrong way. Becuase, I don't think anyone is trying to single anyone else out. The best part of this Clan is that everyone is entitled to express their own opinion (Provided you're a member ) and that not everyone agrees, and it seems like a lot of posters know how to express this in a very civil manner. I think we even had Missouri state law quoted the oother day.

So kudos to the Clan for being the medium for discussion that it is, cheers to Dez and all the Moderators, and I hope to see all of you SLIP, SLOP AND SLAP-ping into the future.

And do they come to the clan often?

I was just looking at who has visited the site and there have been no spiders.

Dez... Mods... what is a spider?

                Enjoy the moment, Clan!
                by AvengerRam
                Hey gang!

I know I have not been around much this year, but I haven't forgotten about the Clan, so I just wanted to stop by and say... let's really enjoy the moment.

We've struggled, toiled, sweated, screamed at the TV, bickered with each other, and waited patiently for years and now... we're finally back in the big game. I'm loving every minute of it, and can't wait until 2/3/2019.

Thanks to everyone here for being part of the journey. Now that we're here... I feel like every moment was worth it.

                Funny how that works, huh?

Clan member has J.Fisher information, but is holding out on us! (The shocking truth!)
                by AvengerRam_old
                I am very disappointed.

Here we are, starving for information about Jeff Fisher... scouring the internet for a scoop, and it turns out that one of our very own is holding out on us.

To make matters worse, the Clan member who has refused to reveal his insider status is a long-time moderator.... a person we thought we knew and believed we could trust.

Well, I feel it is my duty to "out" this Moderator, so... here it is:

                Nick is Jeff Fisher's son!

Frankly, I'm surprised that I didn't figure this out immediately. The resemblence is unmistakeable:

I wasn't certain, though, until I did a bit of photoshop work to confirm the truth:

So, I call on you, Nick... GIVE US SOME INFORMATION! I understand the whole "family loyalty" thing, but we're a family of sorts around here, and we deserve a scoop!

                Stop holding out on us!...

Thanks for another great year, Clan!
                by AvengerRam_old
Well folks, another season has come and gone. We've had our ups and downs, and things didn't end the way we would have wanted them to, but there is hope for the future.

I, for one, would like to thank all the Clan members for another great year on the boards. As is typical, our passions have brought us into conflict from time to time, but in the end, we all stand together as Rams fans.

Things will quiet down for a while, but don't think the Clan is done until next Summer. We'll have fun following the first rush of free agency and the combine. Our very own DraftNick and others will prepare us for what is certain to be an exciting draft day. We'll probably have our annual "Clannie" awards around the time of mini-camp and, before you know it, another season will be upon us.

So, don't be stranger. Stop on over and say hey every now and again.

                Oh, and as always...

                Go Rams!!!
