Bits and pieces:
Backup QB Chris Chandler, who has struggled with his throws at times, was sharp Wednesday morning. He connected with WRs Torry Holt and Dane Looker for TDs on successive series in 9-on-7 drills.
Second-year WR Kevin Curtis appears to be fully recovered from the leg injury that scuttled most of his rookie season and is having a strong camp.
S Rich Coady did limited work after missing several days because of back spasms. Rookie LB Brandon Chillar is out with a shoulder injury.
Overheard
"Obviously, it'll be a little slower version of our receivers, but it is what it is. It's just practice."
- S Adam Archuleta, taking a mild shot at the Bears' receivers.
"Joey's a guy you can take for granted real easy. But he's absolutely in the center of everything that we do offensively. He's been a big plus for us since we added him last year."
- Coach Mike Martz, on FB Joey Goodspeed.
"It feels good to go out there and run the rock again. That's what I've done all my life."
- Dusty McGrorty, an undrafted rookie from Southern Oregon who is getting plenty of work at tailback and fullback
