  • Chidi Ahanotu

Was talking with Dez either Thursday or Friday and I brought up this man's name. He was a big force in the NFC Championship game, and is a big man who has speed. He gets a big push off the line to rush the passer, and this should give Little a chance to play a litte D line and LB in different situations. We had a good run defense, we needed a big guy to push the O line back in passing situations and Chidi gives you that. Double team a G and T on him, and that opens up a rush for Fields, Fletcher, or Davis. All three get back to the QB well, Davis did great last preseason game. Ahanotu is a gift from Tampa, he was the victim of salary cap pressures I bet. This guy stops the run very well, and will surprise you with his speed. What a pick up, my MVP of the Ram Year is the Front Office Staff. Way to have the foresight to upgrade and do it now. In the era of the Salary Cap, this is the only way to do it. Fellow Ram fans, this guy will be in shape to start by the Miami game. I am finally overboard psyched for the season. Not to say Ahanotu is the savior, he is just the piece of the puzzle that was hiding on the floor. Witness last preseason game, no pressure on the QB. No push from the D line, showed we may have been small there. Not anymore.

Well if what I hear from all of you guys is true, I think we nailed this one right on the head. Chidi sounds like an excellent candidate to replace Cedric.

I saw on the Rams site and was ecstatic. I hadn't even realized he was released. His best season was in 1997, but no doubt he'll play well and work hard for the men in blue and gold...nice pick up.

I like your choice for MVP txramsfan. Good point, too. If, okay, when we get to the Super Bowl we will have those guys to thank for making tough choices and bringing in the talent.

I think the Washington Redskins showed us last year what can happen if a team tries to bring in too many high-priced free-agents.EGOS get in the way.The Rams did an excellent job bringing in hard working role players to improve our defense. The few defensive stars we do have also seem to be TEAM orientated.I really believe that once this defense jells they will more than get the job done.GO RAMS!

The problem with what DC did was that they brought in good players that were very experienced - in that brings high $$$$ and lower output b/c of age. Egos got in the way but so did declining skills.

The Rams picked up FAs that were good and can still get better as well as drafting great.

Both overhauled the defense, but DC was stupid in the way they did it, STL was smart (God, i hope they're geniuses b/c I have the Rams DEF on my fantasy team).

They say he is in good shape, and will play more on running downs later in the year, and save Little for the pash rush. I really like how our D has come together. All this offense needs is two more stops a game and discipline after the play. Too many times last year we lost our heads and received costly penalties.
