After the way the seahags looked last night, that is a winnable game for the Rams. They can't generate nearly the pass rush that the Ravens did, and we should be able to hurt their secondary. Linny should bring Stanley up from the practice squad to add some speed to the receiving corps. He could be used mainly as a decoy to run defenders off. His speed would make him a constant threat that the D would have to account for. The result? No doubling of Holt.

LaRam, this now qualifies as the single most optimistic post in the history of the board. The Rams are as dead as julius ceasar. Do we look like the kind of team that is capable of going 8-2, which is what we would need to do to wind up at .500? We have no functioning offensive line and that situation isnt likely to change. as a fan, i admire your ability to stand by the squad. Realistically, i think its pure fantasy.

We are likely going to get Bulger and Jackson back this week. The defense is almost fully intact ...

I think Bulger might have been able to beat Baltimore. Receivers were open, Frerotte just couldn't hit a school bus ....

        I'm optimistic. We went 0-6, why can't we rip off 6-0? :-)

We cant "rip off" 6 in a row because our offensive line stinks and our sked is tougher over the second half. Freotte hit hagans for a td which was dropped and mcmichael in the hands for a td which was dropped. Meanwhile, he was almost killed in the process. What makes anyone think we are capable of protecting bulger without him getting killed again? Jackson is great, but he isnt going to run through five defenders staring at him at the line of scrimmage.

It's incredibly sad that someone you have deemed a MODERATOR is so clueless that he repeatedly uses the word "TARDS" as a demeaning term while referring to a division rival. This word is the developmentally disabled equivalent of referring to a black person as the "N" word. What a proud moment for this site.

Fargo, birds take craps, thus being the tards. They're not being referred to as a team being "retarded", they speak of the Cardinals, and as a divisional rival they deserve to have a funny nickname that isn't offensive. You just saw it differently. Tard can also be #2 my friend...

I'm sorry if I offended you. So from now on it will be the BIG DEAD.

For your informatiom I have a child that is in fact mildly-retarded and I don't take that lightly.

We may not have been dead when this thread was started but we are dead now!!! I do not get to see many games living in Denver but from what I see on the internet this team is really bad, bad, bad.

I do think that the injuries are the major factor in our demise this year. With that said this team is not mentally ready to play. How many false starts can you possibly have during a game. How many dropped passes. We have talent at the skill positions!!!

This team is not mentally prepared to play.

                            That is coaching

                            Fire the sorry *******!!!

I will say that I have to marvel at the optimism of this thread.

The St. Louis Rams, or as fans of opposing teams appropriately call us, The Lambs, have no chance of getting back in this thing. None. Zero. Ziltch. Nada.

Forget looking at the schedule, forget about what players may be returning soon. This team is dead. A team that is averaging barely 10 points per game has no chance of putting together a string of two wins, let alone going 8-2. I've been watching this team for almost 40 years, and this team is as bad as ANY I've ever seen.

If the Rams were known around the league to be "soft", well, this team is downright "mushy". There's no fight, no desire, no effort on offense. Sure, injuries are the biggest culprit as to why this thing unravelled. But it just revealed what many of us feared. Our receivers are getting old and we're extremely thin on talent at the offensive line positions. Even when we're still in a game, we find ways to give it away. Fumbles, interceptions by the handfuls, missed field goals, kick returns for TD's. It's sickening to watch. Which in fact is why I'm not planning on watching any more Ram games this year and I'm putting my Ram gear away until this organization proves to me they want to win. Maybe a 0-16 season and 20 thousand no-shows a game is what this team needs.

This team, from top to bottom, needs an anema.
