  • Amazing!!

Last week we have a melt down and this board is cluttered with hog-wash posts about being in the dumps and how rotten of a season it is going to be. We have a week of success and so many of you run like rats when the lights turn on.

I guess bad news is good news and good news is bad news. I am pretty disappointed, I hope this is just a weekend thing.

Maybe it is because the melt down game was a Monday night and the good game was a Friday night. Everyone was available Tuesday morning to make comment. Monday hasn't arrived yet. Give it time...

Some people just can't admit when they are wrong.

I know that if I'm ever wrong (not that its particularly likely that would ever happen), I'll admit it.

I'm still here. I simply refuse to get excited over one game. Nor will I get overly upset over a bad game. It's pre season.

I think it's funny though you complain when people complain and you complain when people don't complain.

You are pathetic. Do you type your posts with Blue and Gold pom poms attached to your hands? Not only do you put words into other people’s posts, you are the poster child for hypocrites. It’s not bad enough that you disrespect the Rams teams of the past and talk about those teams as if they were just a clone of any other playoff team that particular season but now you want to stand up in front of everyone and tell of how right you are because of a pre season game? Rewind to last week when the Rams got their asses handed to them. Remember it was just a meaningless pre season game? Remember the onslaught of excuses you spewed? I suppose you also believe that because Bulger threw a TD pass he looks like a playoff caliber quarterback!. Never mind it was a broken play, against a minor league defense with the defender falling down after Holt faked him out of his shorts. Never mind that if not for lack of arm strength Bulger would have succeeded in throwing the ball out of the back of the end zone as looked to be his intention. Hell no! Let’s not bother looking at anything that may be of concern let’s just bask in the glory of ripping apart the Redskins, a team that has been down for quite some time. God forbid anyone see things of concern. I’ll bet you rip the author when the Rams injury report comes out too. But I will also bet that you have that same injury report in your favorites quickly accessible for when you need your hypocritical excuses. Damn you missed your calling. Your peers live in and around the bay area. Dressed in red and gold, arrogant when winning and either making excuses or hiding when losing. .

The good I saw in this game is something that is too deep for you to understand at this point in your cheer leading career. However as you mature and if you can step out of your cheer leading skirt long enough to listen then perhaps there is hope. Martz seemed to have the team emotionally ready to play football unlike the last two games of last year and the K.C. pre season game this year. I did not see the Chicago pre season game and no I don’t want you to fill me in on it either. You see I am looking at the part of the Rams that needs the most improvement. It’s too bad that Washington could not have made it a closer game, one that went down to the wire and possibly into overtime. I would like to see how Martz will react in crunch time before it actually means something. Luckily were playing the Raiders next week a team that is notorious for their games going down to the wire. As far as I am concerned we still have that problem at quarterback. As much as I would like to see Bulger turn it around he still seems to be regressing. STAY SEATED! I realize this is coming close to sending you into a frenzy but try to stay with me here. The team looks sloppy when Bulger is out there and I am not sure who is on the wrong page however Bulger is still missing on throws and trying to force things as was apparent when he threw into quadruple coverage. Luckily the Redskins wanted no part of catching any of the passes that Bulger tossed into their laps. I realize that fantasy land states that Bulger threw those passes in a way where only an eligible Rams Receiver could catch them, never mind they hit a Redskin between the numbers because the fact is, they dropped those interceptions presumably because Bulger put “eligible Rams receiver only” mustard on the ball.

                RamTime,
You were wrong for calling JRams pathetic. If you want to flame someone take it to the other board. Just because you disagree with a fellow fan doesn't mean that he's your enemy and that gives you carte blanche to hate him.

I don't agree with him, or others on this board all the time, but I know they are fellow fans and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Being human, some of us naturally got down in the dumps over the bad loss, and some of us got elated over the nice win. It's preseason. Let's save the real emotions for the real games.

Not sure where having an opinion or standing up for the Rams made me such a bad person.

boys...love or passion always has two faces: the horrible and the serene. the serene face creates an impulse to share something profound, while the horrible face creates jealousy and contempt which can degenerate into hatred. this is the same all over the world- we're all neurotic about our rams because it's a very egotistical and personal experience for each and every one of us...

Meaningless from several aspects including win-loss record and as an indicator of regular season success. The same with the Redskins. We really shouldn't even call them games. Games are won and lost. Winning and losing in the exhibition preseason is completely worthless. The preseason is an experiment upon experiment. The Chiefs experiment did not work. So scratch that one off the list. Tinker a little and come back Friday. The Redskins experiment did work. Take that and build on it until the next experiment against the Raiders. That's the whole purpose of preseason, not winning and losing, but refining.

Come on RT. I've seen your threads, you're a high quality poster. You're above this, amigo. In defense of Wraith (not that he needs my help), after the KC experiment last week, there were posters who were actually talking about quitting the Rams and moving on. Maybe they meant it, maybe they were just blowing off steam, but either way it was posted. It was kind of shocking to see people giving up on this team after one preseason debacle. I think some of the football critics with all of their "insight" (ie. Salisbury, Collinsworth, etc) were way too quick to discount the Rams season and that spilled over in to some of the posts after KC. People the truth is when season rolls around you will see the Rams you know and love. Both lines, O & D, are better than advertised. The unproven WRs are better than advertised. The Special Teams are better than advertised. We will have double digit wins this year and we will be playing playoff football.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I switch over to ESPN News, with the 33 students slaughtered at VA Tech on my mind... and I see as the breaking news- "Orioles commit 3 errors on 1 play". I was completely distrought that they would think 3 errors in one play is more news than 33 college kids dying. I was 2 seconds away from smashing my TV.
