  • Some good news for the Rams coming from the Cards

NEW YORK - The NFL on Monday suspended Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Wendell Bryant four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Bryant will not be able to participate in any of the club's activities until October 5.

Selected 12th overall in 2002 out of Wisconsin, Bryant registered 19 tackles in 12 games last season. He collected 1 1/2 sacks in 14 games during his rookie campaign.

The Cardinals on Monday also claimed cornerback Derek Ross, defensive tackle Eddie Freeman and offensive lineman Jeremy Bridges off waivers.
