For the old and new members, Chapter 1 of the Book of SpiralHorns IV: Legion Eternal is posted on the SpiralHorn Lore board.

For those who have followed the BoSH in the past, I hope you continue to read the new Chapters. For new members, check it out. Its not everyone's cup-of-tea, but I've tried to offer a different type of perspective on the world of the Rams and their fans.

You see the internal battle but fail to see what fuels it.

Well, I guess I could just say "poetic license." But, instead, I'll note that "Ramtimeus" said that the "Great General had erred in the past" and that the "Ram Warriors are not infallible." This could be read to encompass the concerns you mention. Its a matter of interpretation.
