First, a little background. I'm an Architect with a small office, (2-3 guys), and in the last ten years have had roughly ten different employees. Until last year, when I hired a young intern, (oxymoron?), not ONE knew, (or cared), ANYTHING about football or the NFL. Or red wine...or cigars...or even BEER!:bored:
Anyway, Ryan (24), is a huge Packer fan, drinks red wine and evn has an occasional cigar

, and we had a lot of fun talking football last year.
Last year he attended a Packer-Bears game, (guys, as you know, as fierce as it was, Rams - Niners PALES in comparison to this game), as he has an uncle who lives in Green Bay.
When the schedule came out this year, he showed up one Monday morning with "Guess who the Packers are playing October 8th?
Replied I, (sharp as a tack as usual on Monday morning) Uhh...I don't know...uhh...let's see...umm...the Rams? After which, I mumbled something about "that would be kinda' cool to see", as Lambeau's the NFL's version of Mecca, IMO, and as I recall, our last two meetings were both lopsided in different directions.
Anyway, for those of you who haven't guessed it by now, (and even for those who have - I'm NOT making a long story short!), I turned 59 July 2nd, and for my birthday, (at Ryan's suggestion - that boy's got a job as long as he wants), my wife bought me airfare and tickets to the game. Can't wait.
Sidenote - since "it's only the Rams", tickets were 'only' $275.
Had it been the Bears, or even the Vikings, they would have been $500-$600.
It's the Rams' fifth game, so they should have shaken the rust off and acclimated themselves to Linehan's vision...or maybe not...
In any case, I am REALLY looking forward to it, and will report best I can upon my return.
Cheers y'all.
