Dear Mike,
Can you fix it? I mean can you fix it without the necessity of an entire off season? With all due respect sir, There is much doubt but before you crumble this letter and discard it let me explain why doubt exist.
Remember in 2000 when we needed a fix during the season? Yes sir the defense needed to be fixed and even though the 2000 defense rivals the incompetence of this year, the task of fixing this defense seems much greater. You see just a slight fix in 2000 would have paid great dividends, after all that was the year Ram quarterbacks combined for over 5000 yards and well over 500 points. Mike.. Mike… MIKE stay with me here and please stop reminiscing about those offenses! What is important is now, today, this season.
You see mike you have never been able to fix anything without the luxury of an off-season. Take the 2002 season when you forgot to prepare for the regular season. You had the talent, in fact you had 20 of 22 starters return from the 2001 14-2 season when we lost the superbowl but you could not fix it until the off season. Mike ….Mike…MIKE forget the superbowl its over! You lost; you lost because you couldn’t fix what was happening on the field that day. So you see Mike, it seems whenever there is a problem with the team you cannot fix it until you have an entire off-season to do so.
While I have your ear I’d like to ask you something about your choice of defensive coordinator. When you were offensive coordinator under Marmie in college did you tell him that if you ever made it to the pro’s you wouldn’t forget him? Are you paying him back for hiring you as an OC back in you college days? You should think about these things and how they might play out, furthermore the two of you together were fired because you could not get it done. The situation is now even worse then those days because well with all due respect sir you may be a worse choice for head coach then Marmie was in college and now the two of you are running an NFL team. Turning back to my original question, can you fix it? Before it is to late? Tell you what Mike, fix this defense and we will let the past go. Please Mike, Please fix it.
Sincerly yours,
All Ram fans
