I love the fact that NFL Network is airing the games just a few hours after they're over.

    Thanks again Terry.

That first game is BRUTAL for the east coast, I guess I'll be catching the replay later that afternoon.

I really think it sucks that Directv forces you to get their dish in order to follow the team you want to watch. I wish there was a way where you could pick one team, and have their local channel or something.

I'm happy with my TV service and it's crappy that Directv has this monopoly...
Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams

I love that idea, I wish you were able to pick which affiliate you want for your cable or satellite package. Like say you're a Rams fan in Detroit, instead of getting the Fox feed from Detroit you should be able to get the Fox feed from St. Louis, then in that case you don't miss any of their games, and don't have to spend $30 a month on Sunday Ticket.

If you realize that it's not about being fair, rather it's about making as much profit as possible, it isn't that hard to accept. Direct TV offered the NFL a boatload of money for the exclusive rights to broadcast all the NFL games .. Back when the deal was about to go down, competitors screamed about it big time, but to no avail. Money talks, and the NFL was listening ... I don't know how long the contract is, but as of now Direct TV is the only show in town if you want access to every game every Sunday ..

Oh, I should mention that this year I shut off cable tv and went Direct. I too was happy with my cable in all other aspects other than football. During the installation process the Direct TV installation guy asked why I'd made the switch .. When I told him, he responded that each year in July - August, as football season approaches, he has to do over 500 new installations. This is on a small island mind you and he was only talking about installations upcountry, not the entire island .. I didn't ask what the monthly installation figures were for the rest of the year, but I doubt those figures are anywhere near the numbers for July and August ..

At $270 to watch 4 months worth of games, it's a lot more than $30. It actually works out to about $16 per week and continues to rise every year.

I used to love Directv, but they have really turned the screws on die-hard football fans. I'd swith in a second to one of the cable co./phone co. all inclusive packages if I could, but I can't. That said, it's still worth every penny to me, and obviously to multitudes of other football fans.

I wonder if Satellite Tea Parties mught change things?

We rounded up a couple of guys last year and threw in for sunday ticket. BEST IDEA EVER! You can't make it out of BW3 for that price.

My suggestion would be look for A Ram Bar. Im not sure about every other place. but in vegas there are 2 who show games on sunday with 1.50 draft beers. Check your local review Journal or website they might have bar listings. Or i may be wrong, and its just in Las Vegas and Hawaii.

It looks like NFL network will be showing the battle for the Governers Cup on Friday 8/31 at 11:00 am central time. I guess Sopcast is the only live option for us out of towners. Any other ideas would be nice.
