Chances Brian Leonard runs well?

I live in NJ and attended Rutgers (not the one Leonard went 2 i went 2 Rutgers in Newark NJ he went to Rutgers in NewBrunswick NJ)

Anyway i liked it when we picked him up. But then he did not perform well at FB 4 Action Jackson and he was not that bad a running it.

We traded him to the Bengals for Orien Harris who we sent 2 Detroit 4 Ron Curry.

Now Leonard is the back-up 2 benson for the Bengals.

So what are the chances Leonard runs well vs. the rams 1st team and 2nd team D?

If Leonard has a huge game (not likely) will we be regretting trading him?

I don't think he'll be running against our first team will he? Is Benson not starting?

Anyway, the way our run defense has looked, who knows what could happen. As far as regretting a the trade, I really don't think so, as we have 3 guys competing for his job right now that are arguably of equal talent to Leonard.

Benson is starting but he is not the best when it comes to durability so we will see Leonard vs. our 1st team a few times.

I was just watching Hard Knocks, and according to that show Brian Leonard is competing with Dede Dorsey for the #3 RB job. He might not even make the team.

Still don't see this guy as any big loss.

Leading up to the draft I was a big fan of his, and figured that the Pats would pick him up and they'd probably get him to a pro bowl or something. When we picked him up I was equal parts happy and angry because I felt that we didn't need a backup RB with our 2nd round pick, however still thought he was a great team player and would work out great in the NFL.

Of course, Lineham messed it all up and made him try out at every position other than kicker and so he never really adapted. I think if he was allowed to focus on one position first and then a second position later, he'd turn out just fine. I hope he makes the Bengals or some other roster as I still like the guy.

I always liked Brian Leonard as I, too, live in New Jersey about 45 minutes from Rutgers. He was a good, solid college player who was an excellent student and a respected leader. That said, I was never high on him becoming anything more than a situational NFL player. He is not a true fullback (not big enough) and not a true NFL tailback (not quick enough).

While my heart was happy the Rams drafted him, my head said otherwise. The Giants-a team in need of a back upon Tiki Barber retiring, picked just before the Rams in round two and passed on Leonard. His trade to the Bengals in light of spotty play and injuries was not at all surprising.
