                Today must be "undo 2006 draft" day. Victor Adeyanju and Mark Setterstrom better watch their backs!

                  the end of the symbolic Linehan draft era, which included getting rid of Brian Leonard.

                    Has to be one of the single worst drafts in a long time.. it's good to see Spags is trying to clean up the mess left behind by Linehan and his cohorts. That regime has probably set this franchise back about 5 or 6 years with its pathetic drafting and free-agent busts.

                      Luckily for Adeyanju and Setterstrom, both are actually talented, hard working players ...

                        Aww...say it ain't so, Joe!!

                        Hmmm...much like the Tye Hill scenario: Klop is beat out by an undrafted FA (D. Fells) and a 7th rounder (B. Bajema) who was also a FA.

                        Maybe Joe can join with Hill in the self-esteem counseling sessions. If they go in together they just might qualify for a group discount.

                        WHAT SAY YE?

                                If Vet TE available - would you cut Byrd
                                by ramhard
                                There seems to be a lot of vet TE's floating around. Tampa Bay just picked up Jolley and might cut someone like Brecht (could but not likely). If a vet TE is available after cuts, do you sign one since the Rams have no vet TE's, and hope Byrd makes it through waivers to the practice squad (and admitting a bit that trading up to draft Byrd was probably a mistake)? Or do you stick with the hand you chose?

                                Any potential surprises in Rams' final cuts?
                                by AvengerRam_old
                                I recently posted my list of the final players to make the team. While I was playing the odds in that thread, in this one I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that there is one veteran who could be a surpise cut when the final 53 is announced:

                                Randy McMichael

                                Here are my thoughts on this:
                                1. McMichael has not done anything noteworthy during preseason;
                                2. Billy Bajema has been a pleasant surprise as a receiver;
                                3. McMichael is highly paid relative to his recent production.
                                I think it comes down to whether the Rams decide to keep 2 or 3 TEs on the active roster. If they only keep two, it could be Bajema and Fells. If they keep 3, I doubt they'd cut McMichael in favor of Klopfenstein, but they could find a #3 guy on the FA wire.

Is he trying to get bulger killed? Is it play calling or scheme, i dont care anymore, but i will tell you that at this point, i am dramatically underwhelmed with klop as a 2nd round pick.

                                Its a joke that bulger is in this game at this point. Bring in gus and pray he survives.

                                ght end Dominique Byrd’s troubled stay with the Rams came to an end when he was released Monday, a day after team officials emphasized how strong a role character played in their draft choices over the weekend.
                                Byrd, 6 feet 2 and 254 pounds, was a third-round draft choice (No. 93 overall) in 2006 out of the University of Southern California. He saw action in 14 games, with no starts, over two seasons, most of it on special teams. He caught six passes for 73 yards and one touchdown.

                                Byrd is facing trial next week in St. Louis Circuit Court on charges of assault and armed criminal action stemming from a nightclub scuffle downtown in December 2006. This past October, he pled no contest and received three years’ probation on DUI charges in California in March 2007.

                                Coach Scott Linehan declined to comment on Byrd’s release.
