    Carriker’s surgery set for Wednesday
    By Jim Thomas
    St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Defensive tackle Adam Carriker of the St. Louis Rams says he is scheduled for surgery Wednesday to repair a torn muscle in his right shoulder. Carriker said he has a 75 percent tear in the subscapularis muscle in the shoulder. The supscapularis is the deepest muscle of the rotator cuff.

The surgery will be performed in Houston by Dr. David Litner. Carriker said the expected recovery time is about four months. Carriker suffered the injury in the third quarter of Thursday’s preseason finale against Kansas City and was placed on the injured reserve list Saturday by the Rams.

When he gets injured next year, we better start waving goodbye forever.

Yes sad this looks like it will not work out for us, I was holping to see AC play at a high level but he just can't stay on the field.

Man, this guy is just snakebit. I know I'm sort of vocal on here, but when it comes to Carriker I honestly think he would have been better off being drafted by someone else. He was a monster at Nebraska and I just think his style never fit the Rams.

Is that why he didn't get cut? Because he can't wave because of his torn rotator cuff? ;)
          I believe!:ram:

I think Balzer said that he could either have been placed on IR or PUP. The PUP would have opened him up for someone else to snag him, which may not have been a bad idea. I think there is a clause in the CBA where you can cut someone due to injury. When they come back you can cut them, but not during.

I know Howard said something to that nature.
