Hi Rams Fans. Just wanted to drop a line and pump in some positive on the clanram boards. I just wanted to know if any of you realise that Laurent Robinson is on pace to have over 1100 yards receiving this season? Pretty good for a guy that nobody knew about coming into the season great find Billy D.
He is also becoming a favorite target for Marc Bulger and the big body we need in the red zone. That was a beautiful fade route that he ran and caught on Sunday vs. the Redskins. He is fast becoming a fan favorite. I think he is just beginning to scratch the surface of his pottential. This is only week 2 and the guy is looking great. If he continues on this pace he will have a personnal carear best.
He will post 1128 yards rec. and 8 touchdowns that would be the most by any Ram in couple of years now. Even Torry Holt did not have numbers like that last season. To be exact since 2007; when Torry Holt had 1189 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns, and in 2006 when he had 1188 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. Billy D and Spags did say the would bring in some young talent who's carears were ascending; and this is it. What a great find!
Also on another note Steven Jackson is on pace for yet another 1000 yards rushing. We can all plainly see the offensive line is only starting to come together and when Jackson starts to build some more chemistry with Karney it could only mean good things. I think we all agree that the defence is ahead of the offenceat this point, but it is starting to come together.
I for one am also not buying into the Bulger bashing I am not blaming him whatsoever in the loss to the Redskins; as it was not his fault and you can see him battling out there. He is scrambling to get free and trying to extend the play.
Would you rather that he just throw the ball and get picked? Ball security is important. In my opinion that is on the receivers to get free; and as they begin to understand the system a little more; it will all come together. These are just part of those growing pains. Spags is always preaching, and you also always hear from the experts about the battle of the turnovers; if you win this such battle you are usually in a good position to win.
My point being next time you decide to think negatively towards our beloved rams; just remember how bad it has been the last two years. Going 5-27 and being almost unable to piece any descent drives together. I for one find it refreshing to see the rams finally piece together two solid drives vs. the Redskins on Sunday. Of course only one was for a touchdown and the other an unfortunate fumble, but at least we were in the red zone.
We can all see them improving. Only good things are too come so lets not get bogged down by the 0-2 record.
