  • Could Danny provide the much needed spark?

After surfing around a bit and reading up on Danny Amendola, I am starting to think he might really help us. Is he a burner? Apparently not, (4.65 forty), but he is extremely quick. His familiarity with Shurmur probably has alot to do with him being a Ram now. The kid can play the slot, and purportedly is a fearless receiver who can make plays. Yes we brought him in as a return specialist, but I won't be in the least surprised to see him get some action in the slot - perhaps not this Sunday, but I wouldn't rule it out either. With all the drops by our receivers lately, what could it hurt to throw him into the fire for a few plays?

The Rams haven't been playing loose on O lately, and a tough little guy like Danny could really give this team a much needed boost with his spirit and style of play, be it on returns, or as a receiver. I am really looking forward to watching him this Sunday .. I believe we have a decent chance of winning this one. We just need someone to step up and make a few plays and give the rest of the team that much needed spark!

At the conclusion of a prayer, one says "Amen" I am hoping there will be some "Amens" for Amendola on Sunday !!!

      AMEN ... dola indeed, Maui!

D.A. is one of those new player situations that, as desperate fans, we look forward to as an answer, as a solution or, spark as you put it. I really do think this all-of-a-sudden starter may help the offense not only with better field position but with his enthusiasm too (if he can only justify that with good returns). He's pumped up, he knows the Rams need him and he seems to have the right attitude to respond.

:helmet: I hope he succeeds in his personal as well as assigned mission.

The St. Louis Rams are opening the home season with grit, guts and gusto. Welcome Danny! GO RAMS!!!

Really. What an honor to have the Deak present, to be before a true legend of the NFL. An inspiration from a HOF that was making tremendous plays before any of our Rams players (or the Cheese Nachos) were even born. I hope Deacon will be that spark for our D.

And that he will give Danny a pep talk too, Deacon style. :ram:

I watched some Film, Amendola isn't all that fast, but he is a smart runner from what i have seen. He is really shifty.

Shifty sounds great for a punt returner, as making guys miss in a small area is key for a return guy - that along with ball security .. Darby wasn't the answer, maybe Danny will give us something to cheer about LOUDLY !!!
