  • Further tests show injuries to Bulger’s shoulder not serious

    By Jim Thomas
    St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Additional testing Monday showed that St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger has no serious damage to the rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder, just some muscle injury, according to league sources. Even so, it remains questionable whether Bulger will be able to play next Sunday, when the 0-3 Rams travel to San Francisco.

Bulger suffered the shoulder injury on a sack-fumble in the first quarter of Sunday’s 36-17 loss to Green Bay. He returned on the Rams’ next offensive series, but aggravated the injury diving on a loose football following a Steven Jackson fumble, and was done for the day.

so looks like Boller will get the nod. Hope we can whoop those whiners!! They are absent of Gore. With Bulger on the sidelines, tiny tim (scrooge) could see what areas to improve his game.

it is indeed..aslong as "some muscle injury" although not rotator cuff injury isnt something that will hinder him for too long..
i also hope we dont rush him back just when marc says he`s ok to go himself as i think he often does himself and more importantly the Rams as a whole,no favours by trying to play when he`s hurt...i hope they do more than just give him a few shotgun snaps..but actually really test his fitness when he says he`s ok to go.

Well, looks like everybody whose been pining for Boller will get a chance to see him start one. Can't hurt I guess.

I loved that he led those two drives and got us some points but he couldn't keep it up, and he finished poorly. He just isn't accurate enough.

Good for Marc, I would have hated to see his career potentially affected like this. I hope he can still turn it around ...

Bulger looks to be out for this week and maybe next if he agitates it in practice. Boller will get the nod and hopefully will show the same spark to the team he showed in the second quarter. Hope bulger gets back soon.

they just reported on ESPN that Bulger will have another MRI and if it's a rotator cuff injury he will be done for the season. they might be jumping the gun a bit.

Great news! Let's see if Boller can lead us to victory against the whiners, and if so battle Bulger for the starting spot. If he stinks it up maybe the Bulger haters will chill a bit, and if he lights it up, boy are these boards gonna be fun to read. I can already see the M.B.O.P. members poising to strike. Maybe the Hansen brothers can sing their campaign song.

I know a lot of people wont be for it, but i know a few will....GNAT(Give Null A Try).
                        lolol.

Boller is our #2, but i say if were gettting blown out or destroying the whiners we put Null in.

That being said, i hope boller does great and gets us a win.

I'm struggling to understand how anyone in the Rams fan base could view one of our players not being seriously injured as bad news. That's really disappointing to me.

I think Boller will get 2-3 weeks to prove himself and if he does good the job has to be his.

I don't think he's referring to himself in this situation, but rather the recent trend towards disfavor of Bulger on the site. Regardless, I don't think anyone is rooting for a season-ending injury. (I'd hope not)
