  • If The Team Takes on The Coaches Personality.........

Then what does that say about Spags. This team is undiciplined. We our getting penalties almost every play it seems. If teams take on the coaches personality then I'm not sure Spags is the right guy for this team. Yes I know we don't have very many play makers but cmon, this team is playing piss poorly, I don't know what's worse the play calling or the play of the offense. It seems we have two teams the Offensive Rams, and the Defensive Rams. The Defensive Rams try the hardest to keep the team in the game, but Offensive Teams just is not playing well.

The definition of Stupid is doing the same thing yet expecting different results. Our play calling is rediculously poor. I like Spags but I don't think at this point he's getting the job done, this I know something needs to change a trade a coach being fired something to shake this team up. Cause this is one product that is hard to support. I'm glad I did not purchase NFL Sunday ticket this year.

Rams needed a HC with proven success, like a Cowher or Shanahan, even Schottenheimer, not a trainee (Linehan, Spags) trying to learn on Company time!

maybe we expected to much from this guy,he was a very good DC with the giants or was he ? he is not there and the Giants defense still looks very strong, why ? because he had the talent there,is he able to take lesser players and build them up into good players,I think he can,but again he had no HC experience before this,Linehan had none either, should we have learned from that ? maybe next time they will hire a real head coach because this team needed more than just a coordinator wanting to be a first time head coach.

I don't think it's fair to put all of this on Spag's shoulders, but I do think that some blame has to be put there. It's the coaches job to discipline these players, and right now it looks like we're far from being there. These things just can't keep happening if we expect to win, but to say it's his fault and his fault alone is inaccurate.

Not to seem totally hypocritical, but I think he needs to take the responsibility of it on his own shoulders and correct this issue. He needs to make it his problem and get the job done. I think we'll be a much better team when that happens.

say what you want but there is no excuse for what we watched today, they were pathetic and someone needs to explain why they get worse by the week instead of better.

Oh I pay attention, and what I'm seeing is a team with a lack of discipline. Poor plays being called constantly, short 2 yard dinks and runs on 12 & 15. Penalties is the lack of proper coaching, and once a teams learns bad habits they continue bad habits, I don't dislike Spags, I think he could be a great coach, but right now he's looking horrible, this team needs more of a disciplinarian. Yes I know that this team doesn't have a lot of playmakers, but that's just an excuse, these players are supposed to be the best of the best. It's my opinion and if you don't like it don't respond.

I'm blaming him because we continue to make the same mistakes, We gave the Whiners 21 points, on lack of discipline plays. We are getting penalties on the same type of plays every game.

The only player on there that has made mistakes is Alex Barron, and he's actually righted his ship. the other player are new. except Wade, and he's new.

That's what I'm trying to say, you can only blame the team so much. We're 8 games from breaking the record of most consecutive team losses. On a happy note the Lakers start the preseaon this Thursday. Go Lakers

Spags was brought in to assist in our defensive play, and without a doubt that has improved.

But, he needs to get to the offensive players. Everytime we make a big play, it gets called back.

Then we should have hired him as a DC.....and the DEF has improved...NOT MUCH!!!

                                Groundhog Day?? Zag/Han v De/Spags
                                by macrammer
                                I see a bit of a split on the forum between keeping spags and letting him go. It is only our opinion and ultimately it is up to owner to decide but here is what I find interesting;

Linehan/Zag were atrocious. I think we can all agree on that. Linehan did not have NFL H/C experience, failed miserably but appears to have found his home in Detroit as the OC.

Say Spags gets hall pass his first year due to the complete rebuilding that was required after the previous regime. Spags is 9-31 overall or take into consideration the first year hall pass, he is 8 - 16. He is 2-12 over last 12 games.

As you all know, Spags made his bones on the defensive side of things and had no prior NFL H/C expereince

I saw a post today that discussed the need for playmakers for the Rams. I would certainly agree with that assessment but it got me to thinking about Linehan. Did we not say same thing about the roster and was that not one of the driving forces that caused the regime shift to DeSpags? Did we not already "rebuild?"

I am looking for some insight from the clan folks that feel we should keep Spags at least one more year. I'd like to understand the thought behind this. Please, something a bit more substantive then "I do not want to rebuild again" or, "We did not have camp" "Too many injuries" etc.

Can you list the prevailing and compelling facts that explain your view? It would be helpful to me as perhaps I am missing something that I should take into consideration other then what I see on Sunday.

...will be allowing Mike Shurmur and the Browns to beat them next week. If he isn't officially on the hot seat yet in the eyes of management, he surely will be then. 9-31 record. We fix one problem, another one appears. We improve in one area, another falters. Conservative, unimaginitive playcalling. Poor execution. Mistakes at the worst possible time. An inability to make adjustments and hold a lead after halftime. It's just not working. I was behind Spags' hiring, but it is looking more and more like it is one big mistake and a bad fit.

                                Spags worst trait...

Its how he reacts after losses...

I've watched many of the post-game press conferences, and never do i see or hear a sense of urgency from him. I just watched the ***** post game and all he had to say was how the defense played well for awhile. It's just unacceptable.

I don't know how he thinks the "Mr. Positive" attitude going to turn this team around. I understand the fact that he doesn't like to call players out in public, but he needs to be real and explain to us how terrible these team really is.

After yesterdays game, I expected a very ticked off or stressed out Spags. Instead he seemed content and never pointed out any of the many negative points of the game. I used to be pulling for Spags only a few games ago, that has all changed now. At 2-10, you got to light a fire under these players butts.

Look at Miama. Sparano did a complete 180 with his coaching style and they're making a great run. Spags demeanor hasn't changed all season. He just seems much to content with how the teams UNDERperforming.

If you look at all the great teams such as the Pats, Steelers, Saints etc., the coaches hold their team accountable when they play poorly. They hold themselves accountable when they're out coached. Spags does none of this. I'm over it.

There are millions of excuses for the Rams woes, but the head coach must be held accountable. Even Jim Zorn has the Redskins playing inspired ball!
Spagnuolo has done nothing to show that this team is responding to him. More often than not his Rams tend to quit on him before the end of ballgames.

Has Spags lost this team already?

Could the Rams have made a better choice for HC?

Spags must be thinking "What have I gotten myself into!"

Should Spags be placed offically on the HOTSEAT?

                                It might be TIME!

If the Rams finish 8-8 and win the west, then who is more deserving than Spags, I heard on a radio show today that Morris from Tampa was the frontrunner, they have not beat a team with a winning record and still have 7 wins to show for it which tells me they are playing a crappy schedule.to go from 1-15 to 8-8 or better with a rookie QB starting from game 1 I think our guy should get the award, now lets hope we can get to 8-8.
