  • To 53 of our players

I'll try to be civil, but you guys really stunk up the joint today! These infractions have been going on for too long now, and as a team you're in danger of being banned from the NFL with no explanation given.

I dont think you can blame every single player on the roster. Not at all. For the most part the defense was pretty solid. The run defense seems so much better than we are used to, especially since the Niners had the lead for such a long period of time, you would have expected the Niners to have been running the ball for the entire second half, but they never got much out of it. They averaged only 3.3 yards per rush for the game.

Jackson tried his best, and there wasnt much room for him to do anything with the Niners D swarming around him all the time.

When I saw the marketing line of "53 Playing As One", I didn't think it was supposed to be 53 players putting out the combined effort equal to one player.

They were playing with their back-up running back though.

Back up RB who had a very good showing in preseason, Coffee is a good talent at that spot. The Chargers also played against a back up RB and gave up something like 130 yards and two TDs to him/

Anyway, its not like a backup running back used to mean anything to the Rams Run D, we have given up big games to nobodies before.

Again it comes down to the O-line, lack of protection, lack of the ability to consistantly punch holes in the opposing defensive line is why the Rams are the butt of NFL jokes now.

If you can't protect your QB, your opponent will t-off on your running game.
If you can't run block, your passing game has no teeth in it.
Football fundimentals 101...and the O-line is flunking bad

I thought the defense played extremely well and with the blitzes were getting consistent pressure on Hill. You can say it was a backup RB but the fact is we are playing with a backup DT, CB and SS. JMO but the defense played some lights out football. You can't blame them for an inept offense. That defense played with heart and could have very easily fallen apart in exhaustion in the second half.

The lack of discipline and stupid mistakes totally frustrate the heck outta me. Physical mistakes I can tolerate beacause nobody is perfect, and mistakes of the physical nature are bound to happen. But the stupid mental mistakes and penalties, my gawd, what is it going to take to get a handle on them? It doesn't seem to matter who the Rams get, they all become brain dead when they get on the field.

                    53 playing as one.

                    Yeah, one idiot.

Bad teams make bad penalties. It's the reality of the game. If an offensive lineman is dominating his man, he doesn't have to resort to holding calls. If Barron isn't getting burned by the speed rush, he can line up on the line.
