    It's just bad coaching....

This is why I'm hoping that Spags can get our guys like Chris Long going here soon.

Once the offense finally gets some kind of momentum, and the defense can find some way to stop people BEFORE they get in the red zone, it will happen, Moose.

It's not a Rams thing, every team in the NFL has a list like this.

if Vikings had spent a 1st rounder for that..they`d brand him a bust too.

I dedicate bad coaching to those bust draft picks. Like you mentioned, they are doing well in other places where they have great coaches to mentor them. Luckily we brought in Spags for that reason. I think he's going to develop chris long into an awesome End.

I remember after the Pickett, Lewis and Kennedy picks and under performance it was asked why the defensive line coach was never called out and blamed. Jeff Gordon's response was that it couldn't be his fault because basically he yelled really loud at practice and everyone liked him. That's the type of media pros we have covering this team.

Yesterday Bernie bashed Spags for not yelling enough.

Hey, does anybody have any info on how Tye Hill is doing with the Falcoons? He may be another that can be added to B4L's list.

                    WHAT SAY YE?

He's been inactive for every game this season.

Seeing that, just depresses me so much. And I'm not even joking, all those "busts" are on winning teams, while us fans, were still on a losing team.

It honestly tears me up a bit. It's hard being a Rams fan, but forever I am one!

That's a big part of it. Not only does every team have a bust list like the Rams, but many of those bust players move on and have respectable careers elsewhere when they are no longer held under the microscope with the expectations of being a high draft pick.

Tony Mandarich, undoubtedly one of the biggest busts of all time, had some good years as a guard for the Colts in the early Manning years after he had flamed out with Green Bay and spent some time in rehab.

The one key draft decision that shaped each NFL team

NFL talent evaluators may spend millions of dollars and months of work poring over the available prospects, but that doesn't mean the draft will ever rise to the level of science. Now that the league's annual personnel crapshoot is again upon us, let's review one recent key draft decision for each of the NFL's 32 clubs, a pivotal move that for better or worse helped shape the teams they are today:

                                ST. LOUIS RAMS
Jimmy Kennedy, DT, Penn State, first round, 2003
It's hard to imagine the Rams' defense showing any sustained improvement until they stop taking underproductive defensive linemen in the first round. Kennedy, who went 12th in 2003, has followed in the tradition of defensive tackle Damione Lewis (12th in 2001) and Ryan Pickett (29th in 2001). Second-round defensive end Tony Hargrove (2004) has been a nice find, but the Rams once again need draft help at the front of their defense, and that can't be an every-year occurrence.

                                .

                                Monday, July 24, 2006

The Rams have agreed to three-year contracts with a trio of players from the 2006 Draft class, DE Victor Adeyanju, LB Tim McGarigle, and G Tony Palmer. Adeyanju (pronounced ah-DAY-on-joo), from Indiana, was the Rams' fourth-round draft choice (113th overall) in this year's draft. McGarigle from Northwestern (221st overall) and Palmer from Missouri(243rd overall) were the Rams' first and third picks in the seventh round, respectively.

i was looking at the draft order for the rams in the draft, and was wondering how is the 2nd, 3rd, 4th,... round picks decided? Because they seem to be randomly.

So if anyone knows how the picks are decided W/B
