    Per rotoworld...

    Rams re-signed WR Tim Carter.
Carter has speed, but has always been prone to drops and injuries and offers no upside at age 30. The ex-Giant definitely won't save St. Louis' wideout corps.

Meh...I guess we pretty much need anyone at this point. I'm having trouble imagining him on the roster at this time next year though. Definitely a stop-gap solution.

wouldnt suprise me if he gets cut before the month is out. just a bit of short term insurance till someone better becomes available.

He at least got some time in with the playbook so that he can more readily step in. I don't think it'll make much of a difference, but we need something to try to give the pass game a spark.
      I believe!:ram:

Less than two weeks ago, the Rams declined to make a tender offer to restricted free agent Jerome Carter, thereby freeing him to sign with any team ó no strings attached.

But in a move to bolster the Ramsí depth at safety, Carter has re-signed with the team. Contract details werenít immediately available. Carter was a fourth-round pick by the Rams in 2005. He has appeared in 33 games, including three starts with the Rams, over three seasons.

Carterís 2007 season ended Oct. 7, when he suffered a fractured right foot against Arizona.

Rams release WR Tim Carter; add cornerback
        By Jim Thomas
        St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Wide receiver Tim Carter, who had one catch and several drops in two games with St. Louis, was released by the team on Tuesday.

The Rams have filled his roster spot by signing cornerback Danny Gorrer off the New Orleans Saintsí practice squad.

Gorrer, from Texas A&M, was signed last spring by the Saints as an undrafted free agent.

When the Rams selected him last year, I wasnt too excited. I never expected to see him as a starting SS on the Rams D and I thought that he would be best served at another position. One of those positions would be OLB. He seems to be perfect for that position in that he has good speed, good size, and a nose for the ball.

So what is the general thought here on the board? Would a move to OLB be a good one for Carter?

Was he in with Atogwe at the end of the game or in for him? It was difficult to tell.

Do you think we could move him to Outside LB?
