10:42a-- Former Rams tight end and Super Bowl champ Roland Williams joined the guys to talk Rams football. Williams is unsure when the Rams will obtain their first win, but he thinks they may upset either the Arizona Cardinals or the New Orlean Saints. Williams believes the Rams have a good chance to beat Detroit, but not Jacksonville. Williams says he saw a lot of positives on Sunday's loss to the Vikings, and he thinks the Rams defense is playing well enough to win some football games. Williams doesn't think Marc Bulger is a good decision maker on the football field and says that Bulger only flourished when Mike Martz was calling the plays and he was throwing to space, rather than a player. Williams says Daniel Fells could have won the tight end job over Randy McMichaels if he hadn't fumbled in the redzone on Sunday.

Gosh Rolly, guess Marc won't be taking you out to dinner anytime soon .. ;)

loved Roland as a player..(well in his first spell with us) but to say we could upset the Saints but not beat the Jags is just plain silly..

What does Roland have to say about Bulger in 2006 when Martz was long gone and hadn't called a play since he tried to sneak a note into the booth mid-season 2005?

This notion that Bulger is nothing more than a Martz system quarterback is rediculous, regardless of who's saying it.

Agreed. History seems to pretty definitively counter what Williams had said. It would have been interesting if Parris or Burwell mentioned that to see what Williams' response would have been.
