Surprisingly Mark Sanchez isn't on the rookie of week list. Go figure, I thought people would be impressed by the 5 pick effort. So this opens up the door for Laurantis who records yet another kick... Wrong!!! Instead they give his nomination to the Kansas city Kicker what!!!! What a joke

I think it's because not many people are paying attention to the Rams. If we were winning, Laurinaitis would have been named Rookie of the Week probably twice by now.
However I am seeing where some do have him in their top 3 or so for defensive rookie for the year, so he is getting some attention, but not near what he deserves.
