  • Sign Joey Galloway for rest of the year.

Proven Vet receiver that can help our young receivers understand the game? I dont think we can go wrong with amove like that. And just let him go at the end of the year?

I don't know how proven his is anymore...he couldn't get in sync at all with the Patriots, and that's after an entire camp to learn. How well do you think he would play picking up an offense mid-season?

I dont even want production from him, if anything he can def be better than most of our WRs. I think he could teach our young WR some stuff and atleast add a "little" bit of receiving threat

I am not giving up on the season by a long shot but...

any short term solution, in my opinion, takes away from next year.

Galloway would be taking snaps away from one of our young and inexperienced receivers and when he is gone next year... we would still have a young an inexperienced receiver.

Our current guys need to learn to play and learn to win and there is no better teacher than game day.

He finally got old. He did nothing last year with the bucs, and has done even less this year with the Patriots. Why burn a roster spot just so we can have an old washed up vet to help along the young guys? That's what we have position coaches for.

who says he's even interested? if he's got anything left he'll go somewhere that can offer him money or a chance to win.

He is in his late 30's may even retire next year, rather give guys with upside who will be hear next year the minutes.

Absolutely not! Why waste money on a receiver who will deliver little if anything, plus take valuable time away from younger players who will be here well beyond this year. We are not that close to making the playoffs so why spend time and money on a player whose window is closing quickly. This would be the equivalent of signing Hollis Thomas before the season and we all know how well that worked out. No thanks.

                Go Rams!

Do we have any historic evidence of mentoring, or are we just assuming veteran=willing mentor?

Veterans I would like for us to sign...
                      by bruce4life
Kevin Williams and Chris Clemons. Both are veterans who can bring leadership to this ball club. They could be had at a reasonable price to wheres it's nkt5 going to break us. Plus having depth never hurts.

                      Thoughts?

I think we need some outside help when it comes to a WR. I would be open to them signing a additional WR. MOSS? TO...or Avery.

Curious about the clan's thoughts on going after E.James. I dont want to break the bank, but he looked great last year playing in a limited role.

Do you think we have the $ to sign him?

Do you think he would be willing to be a backup?

Does he have any character issues? (i am not aware of any)

RAMS sign vets , and still stay young ?
                      by Guest
I was putterin around the RAMS roster with the signings and re- signings and even though we brought in some ELDER statesman , we still only have 12 guy's on the roster that are ages 30 and above . And 11 out of the 12 are between 30 and 33 , with MR . GREEN bringing up the senior circut at 37 years young . here are the dirty dozen !

                      T. GREEN - 37
                      M. BULGER - 31
                      T. HOLT - 31
                      D. LOOKER - 31
                      A. BECHT - 30
                      O. PACE - 32

                      J. HALL - 31
                      L. LITTLE - 33
                      L. GLOVER - 33
                      C. DRAFT - 32
                      F. BROWN - 30
                      C. CHAVOUS - 32

It looks like most of these vets will be making very large contributions to this team . and i'm hoping that my stats are correct because i got them from ESPN so i hope there o.k. , ( i thought bennett was over 30 for some reason .
