Re: Should I...?
I wouldn't dream of going to a Rams game and not wear a jersey. I went to the game in Choakland a few years ago and had no problems wearing my Rams colors. A LOT of dirty looks, but no problems. It helps that we shut them out, and the fact that I pretty much sat on my hands.
Rams fans travel well, even these days, so you won't be alone. Wear your gear, you won't be sorry.

Re: Should I...?
Yeah, Randy and I saw three other Rams fans in Philly last year.
Ultimately, you can always say "Hey, aren't we all Americans here? Shouldn't we focus our hatred against terrorists." Then, point out someone that is believable as a terrorist-type person and focus the aggressor's attention that way. When they are distracted, steal their tailgating gear. Serves them right.

Re: Should I...?
thermobee,
my tip for survival.;)
wear your jersey but take a jacket that can be worn outside and away from the ground.
the home fans shouldnt throw anything more than a bunch or peanuts at you..(tho many home fans will be more civil than that and probably have a decent amount of respect for you travelling to see your team on road games)
but when you outside and away from the ground..the same rule that applies with every city in the world..theres certain areas in cities where you dont want to let certain people know that you far from home..(or atleast make them think you far from home by showing far from home colors)
do wear your jersey tho and wear it with pride..just not in the dark side of town.

Re: Should I...?
The last time I went was 10 years ago. Both teams were playoff bound and the Lions fans were not that bad. I did however attract the attention of one real big fellow when London Fletcher scored a safety by cheering loudly, so every time the Lions did good or the Rams did bad this guy would heckle me by calling me Bruce(had on my Bruce jersey) anyway it was an awesome game that the Lions ended up winning(dang you Dexter Mcleon) and when it was over my buddy pointed to the guy and he was tipping his hat to me like "good game" now if the Rams had won? who knows I might have had to leave in a hurry. As long as you arent looking for trouble you should be fine, there is always a few jerks but these are two rebuilding franchises so there shouldnt be a whole lot of venom. God I hope we win this is my youngest sons first Rams game!

Re: Should I...?
Never been to Detroit to a game, but I traveled to Cincy in '08 to watch a game w/ my father-in-law on my birthday. (The Berlin disaster) It was fun, be prepared to take a lot of grief whenever the Lions do anything good, but it's all in good fun.

Re: Should I...?
I went to a random Titans preseason game once wearing a Rams shirt, and the guy taking up tickets started acting like he was mugging me, lol.
Most Titans fans I know are pretty good people, and I really didn't get dirty looks or anything. I think when people saw I was cheering for the Titans in that game they thought I was alright, ha ha.
From what I've seen/heard/read, MOST fans of a team are pretty good people, but it's a handful of jerks that can make the team fans look bad.
