  • I am shocked.

I cannot believe that there aren't at least 10-20 new threads after every loss on Sunday about Bulger or how ineffective the offense was; who sucks, who sucks more. The past few years we've always had obnoxious threads made on Sundays, and now I never see them. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I'm hoping that it's not because you guys have given up. Because that concerns me. I know this is rough but I know we are headed in the right direction with this organization. Can't you feel it? Am I the only one?

Today was devastating and that was probably to be expected. Manning is tearing apart everyone, not just us.

I think the people who have been here awhile know that I'm not one to be positive or negative. I just state what I see. I'm not being positive here, I simply feel that we are going to get this thing going again. And I hope you guys feel the same way because that's the only way we'll survive this season without some...injuries...

Anyways, I'm not encouraging those old threads that I'm sure Mods loved to deal with, but I don't feel the spirit! Let's keep our heads high and like Spags would say, let's prepare for next week. No point in look at the past, let's look ahead to the future. That's exactly what Spags, Devaney and everyone else is doing.

Many times, our guys were covering the Colts receivers quite well. Manning is a laser with some of those passes and there wasn't much we could do. Manning hasn't been sacked in 14 quarters - that was the only way we could have affected him.

I simply think fans are just tired of beating a dead horse. Bulger isn't very good, but his receivers are bad, also. Mix in a sub standard offensive line and what you have is a lousy offense. The rest is conversation.

I apologize if I don't share in others' optimism, but five blowout losses in seven games will do that to you.

Good points, it's hard to see the light after a game like today's but I also do feel like things will be clicking here in a couple of years.
Laurinaitis will be our urlacher, Jackson is just a beast, hopefully youngsters Avery, amendola, Burton, laurent Robinson, Wade, Fletcher, king etc all keep improving, and we draft a franchise qb.

I thought we were headed in the right direction too until I saw a stat before today's game. That stat: Ranked 26th against the run, 27th against the pass.

I thought we were doing better than that, but apparently there hasn't been much improvement at all.

I don't see how we're any better off this year than we were last year.

I think we're definitely playing better defensively, and those stats will clear up once our offense stays on the field for longer than three plays at a time.

If 42-6 is playing better defensively, then you better check your standards.

I'd complain, but because I refuse to pay to watch this disgrace of a team play, I have nothing worth saying. Why waste $300 bucks a season for sunday ticket or $20-$30 a week to eat out and watch the game at a sportsbar, when I'm just gonna be disappointed and mad at what I see? I have much better things to do with my time, that brings me a LOT more joy than the Rams have for many years now. The Rams are depressing the hell out of us man, it's that simple.

Obviously a homer, this one. It seems you completely missed a key part of the words you quoted:

...once our offense stays on the field for longer than three plays at a time.
With an offense as anemic as ours is, pretty much ANY defense would get eaten alive by the end of the game week in and week out. The point was that our defense is pretty respectable, and if they could actually get a damned breather every now and then they wouldn't be falling apart and giving up so many points.

we'll weather the storm, we just have to continue improving, executing on the field, and making the right personnel decisions... it'll come around

we're still feeling the effects of poor personnel decisions from the last regime. but we're headed in the right direction

It's been awhile for you, but a lot of that yardage and points have been coming in the second half after the Rams defense is beaten down. We lack depth and the offense's inability to stay on the field leaves the defensive starters unable to recover.

This is the 5th year we are waiting for the team to get better. Couple more years like this and we will not care what happens to them.

My sentiments, exactly. Watching football is supposed to be enjoyable- what's the point if you're just going to wind up depressed and pissed off by 4:00 each Sunday? Of course I said something like this about 3 weeks ago on this board, and with the negative reaction I got, you'd think I shot the President. Watching this team right now is no badge of honor- and until we win a couple games or string together 4 or 5 weeks in a row of competitive football it's delusional to think we've made some kind of great progress here. 0-7 is 0-7 and the product on the field is atrocious.

The badge of honor comes from saying that you watch this team through the good times and the bad. As Rams fans, we only have a brief period to claim as being good in the modern era. It was fantastically good and was cut short by bad coaching and even worse drafting. In short, we interrupted greatness by being the Rams. The same old, sorry ass Rams. I friggin hate the ***** for saying that because it's true. Yet, here we all are. I'll be here until they fix it or and through all the bad times. I'll watch all that I can because it's all I can do as a fan.
