I have heard alot of talk about how we have a very winnable game against our 'best shot" in the Detroit lions. Well I have news for you guys. The way we have been playing lately and yesterday especially, we are SO NOT beating them! I TOLD YOU WE WERE GOING 0-16 THIS IS NO JOKE FOLKS ITS GOING TO HAPPEN. and i dont like to talk about my team like that but its the truth. DO you REALLY think we can beat anyone given how pathetic we are on offense and defense? COME ON MY FELLOW RAM FANS ITS GOING TO BE UGLY FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON. and dont feel good about garbage wins near the end because they dont count in my book against teams who have "packed up their weapons" for the playoffs or whatever.

The Rams have at times been competitive and have had good chances this year to win close games, most notably against Washington and Jacksonville. I don't know what makes you think they don't have a chance against Detroit. I think you're going to be surprised.Comment

The Rams have a shot at winning ever game they play in, I have seen improvement although not enough to win a game, they are doing better. What needs to happen is they need an early break or turnover to get things jump-started. The defense came out and played inspired ball even if the scoreboard didn't show it. I think this team has a real shot at going 0-16 or the could win 2 or 3 down the stretch, just depends.sigpicComment

so you say we gonna go 0-16 on the season...but if you wrong and we win near the end of the season it dont count.

What scares me about this team is it lack of scoring one TD against a bad Skins team 13 Offensive points against a bad Jags team that allowed a bad Hawks team to score 40 points on them. We have a good enough D to win a few games but this O is sad. We have a chance but it want be because the O carries us. The D needs to get a TD along with something special from the special teams.:ramlogo:Comment

Indeed you have. According to the search function, at least 12 times over the past 3 weeks (I stopped counting after that), you made reference to this team not winning this year. Winnable game at Detroit? Without a doubt this is a very winnable game. Actually I will be very surprised if we don't win.

Regarding a post three weeks ago some one posted the question, when will the rams win their first games. Some replied the first win would be the jacksonville or minnesota game. I predicted their first win would be at detroit and I'm sticking to it. The rams two most competitive games inwhich they had a chance to win was against offensivley challenged teams, washington and jacksonville. They will play the offensively challenged lions sunday. The rams will get their firts win.Comment

Yes I know the Rams are bad, but predicting 0-16 is pretty useless, and it's the easy way out.

WOW what truth and how it hurts. if we win one or more of the last two games, yes it would count for the W-L record obviously. But it wouldnt count as a quality win in my book, especially against good teams who normally dont wanna risk injury near the end of the season like that.
ANd, HONESTLY, I DONT want to be right. I just want the truth to be known.Comment

well i never said we NEVER have a chance against ANYBODy, especially detroit, although some games i feel like we DONT. For instance, that Colts game... I didnt think we had a chance, but I didnt think the score would have been so far apart. and the saints and cardinals are other examples.Comment

I've been hearing about all this talk about the upcoming game on Sunday in HOU against the Texans. Well, first let me start off by saying that we must NEVER forget that we are the RAMS and we are usually the "cure for all ailments". That being said, I am just asking that the offense PLEASE COME AND SHOW UP FOR THIS GAME!!! Without you guys, we do not stand a chance in this game and it could get ugly real quick because Houston is a team that can score points, and in a hurry also if need be. The reason I say this is because our defense, although they have taken quite a step back, are still playing well enough to keep our team in games. But the offense goes into their usual "shell" and just caves in, comes out with the vanilla stuff, and quickly goes 3-and-out. WE CANNOT have that this game!!!
I am fully aware that the defense needs to shade coverage on Andre Johnson and try to contain the run game of Arian and Ben, but I feel that the weight of the game is NOT on their shoulders. The weight of this game is on the OFFENSE. They need to come out and establish themselves EARLY and often. I AM BEGGING YOU OFFENSE!! PULL THROUGH!! DONT go in that shell and get really conservative, because everyone is sick and tired of it. Get Cook and Austin involved as they are two key weapons on offense. Contain JJ Watt as much as possible:- I know its tough but with help it can be done. Keep Bradford upright and he should be able to deliver ( i dont trust him enough yet to say WILL ) Receivers, CATCH THE DAMN FOOTBALL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD; still WAAY too many drops.
To sum it all up, I feel VERY confident in our chances this weekend, thats IF, a big IF, the offense can come out and establish themselves (as well as tempo) EARLY and throughout the whole game. In this manner, we would be putting the pressure on them and forcing Matt Schaub into more throws and hopefully another pick six, lol. In other words, and I know we are largely incapable of doing this, I think if we want to beat them, we will have to outscore them. We dont want to fall behind early and play catch up, this team is not built for that yet. It already is a mismatch on paper because our offense sucks balls and their defense is pretty stout. So its very important for our O to get going in this contest!!

(For those who can remember. This post was started the year we were 0-8 and played the Detroit Lions. Why everyone on this message board fine with our 3-3 record? With confirm with mediocrity? In my profession as a salesmen and a project manager for a construction company I am never settling just because we sold a 2 million job. I always want to fight as hard as I can and make sure I get every job with the highest profit margins. In every aspect of life one should not be happy with settling and saying hey well at least my situation isn't worse. That mantra will leave you wondering what would of . Could of, and should of been...
The rams are playing good overall football I totally agree. Yesterday's game is a microcosm of the settling mindset. The rams our gained in yardage , owned the time of possession, was more physical than the dolphins for the whole game. A play here, one less mental mistake we win that game.

living in southern california, i have a lot of friends and co workers that are 49er fans.....if we lose 4 in a row to them im gonna have to deal with crap for a whole year.....i think ill just go into a cave and hibernate until next season....im seriously sick of losing to the whiners and the puddle pigeons...please win this game....please.....even if we dont make it to the playoffs i can at least be happry that we snapped a 3 game losing streak against the *****...:\-11-25-2006, 04:48 PM
