    Re: The WINNING feeling!!!

I hear you Steve. I was just thinking the other day how bad I used to feel during the 90's when we were only winning 5 or 6 games a season. It really puts what we're going through now into perspective. Times are TOUGH for Rams fans!

That said, I think we finally get off the schneid this Sunday against Detroit. It's going to happen and both the Rams and we fans can as you say, have something to hang onto.

Ouch, I see you joined in Dec. '08 so you may not just be kidding :disapointed:

What a time this is as a fan.

I have high hopes for this week against Detroit, can't we please get lucky and have something swing our way for once. I really don't care how we do it (of course I would prefer if it was more than luck - but I'll take anything) as long as we get the win it's a good week.

I'm actually a little bit more excited about this game than the last couple of weeks (except the Jacksonville game which I also felt was winnable) because we have a reasonable chance this time.

The game against Detroit is the "Toilet Bowl" to determine the worst team in the league - let's make sure it's not us and we'll at least salvage a tiny bit of honor this year :ram:

          Re: The WINNING feeling!!!

It's no doubt been a torturous couple of years but it's the times like these that make me feel like a true fan.
Saying that, I'd trade that feeling for a win or two ;)

Yeah I know what you mean man. It has come to my general manager, who doesn't get too roudy about football, talking crap about our team. It's THAT bad.

                    I think we will win
                    by RamWraith
You know. With all negativity around this team by the fans these past few weeks I have a strange feeling the Rams will be beat the Bears Monday. Why in the hell would I say something like that? Football is about match-ups, and I think we match up well against the Bears. They have a week offense, that is in a huge state of turmoil. If Grossman messes up at all I think they pull him, just to see their other options. Now Harris is out. This is HUGE for their defensive line. He has been a beast all season. We also have the belief out there that we can't win, and that is never a good thing for a team that is suppose to be such a "powerhouse".

I think we take this game, restore some hope for the rest of the season and build on next year's confidence.

Let me ask you... Have You Lost that Winnin' Feeling?
                    by Nick
You never throw your hands in the air when we win a game.
You just cry and moan at the coach because he's to blame.
Why can't you just be excited (baby)?
Or baby, can you not help but fight it?

                    You've lost that winnin' feeling,
                    Can't believe what I'm hearing.
Why can't you just be happy
                    With a win, win, win?
                    Is that such a sin?

This isn't '99 or '01, we're just not that good,
Because we're so beat up, we aren't playing the way we should.
But when we come out victorious (baby),
Why do you, why do you criticize it?

                    You've lost that winnin' feeling,
                    Can't believe what I'm hearing.
Why can't you just be happy
                    With a win, win, win?
                    Is that such a sin?

Baby, baby, I know we have some work to do.
But let's enjoy this win like we used to.

This situation is tough, not one you find everyday.
So when we win, don't pee on our parade.

Rams fans (Rams fans), Rams fans (Rams fans),
I beg of you please (please),
                    Please (please),
We won the game (won the game)
We won the game (won the game)
Two in a row (two in a row)
Two in a row (two in a row)

                    Bring back that winnin' feeling,
Have some faith in what we're seeing.
                    Bring back that winnin' feeling,
                    'Cause we won, won, won.
                    Let the celebration go on.

                    Bring back that winnin' feeling,
                    Cheer for Marc and Steven.
Give it a rest this evenin'
                    'Cause we won, won, won.

This is a division game and we're not just playing any team, we're playing the ****** in our house. Things have been kinda quiet around here since the Panthers loss and the ****** fans havent even been invited to talk up some trash. i wasnt very comfortable about the Panthers game because they came in at full strength on D but this is the ****** and i'm predicting a blowout win for our boyz. By the looks of things, fans are at a wait and see mode. I'm telling the future right now.....we're gonna win the division and the ****** are gonna be our 1st victims. Bring it on ****** fans, lets see what you've got to boast about . Our O will toast you tomorrow and by week 3 you'll be 1-2 and damaged for the rest of the season!!!!

I noticed something this morning while I was sitting here. Join date 9,18,06 is it just me or is that the day after the game. You sat back and waited for your team to win till you had the courage to come on here what a pansy. While Okie and scrapie have to put their heads together to make one coherant thought, at least they were here before the game. Your the ultimate troll. I would be suprised to see our Niner fans on here disagreeing with me on this one.

The season so far, is it a success?
                    by Varg6
We are rebuilding. Who doesn't know that?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, each week regardless of win or loss I want to see progress. What we saw yesterday was progress. Do I want to win every game? Of course, but we can't expect that just yet. However, I know we are headed down the right path and the beautiful thing is, we are young. These guys are just going to get better with more experience.

I think we are finally developing that team chemistry we've desperately needed for years. I'm so proud of these guys and I feel like if we play like we did on Sunday, we can beat just about any team in the NFL. I don't expect us to go 8-8 but honestly I wouldn't be too shocked if we got on a roll and achieved that record.

Going back to the thread's question, is the season a success so far? On paper it isn't, but progress wise, absolutely.
