The St. Louis Rams head back to the West Coast this week for their second consecutive divisional contest of the season, and third overall, as they take on their NFC West rivals, the Seattle Seahawks.
The Rams lead the all-time series, 6-4, and have split the four games the two teams have played since realignment placed Seattle in the ‘new’ NFC West in 2002, with each franchise winning on their home field. The two teams
reunited in 2002 after being together in the NFC West in 1976, the Seahawks' inaugural season, meeting one time in Los Angeles, with the Rams winning, 45-6.
In addition, the Seahawks played their first game in franchise history against the St. Louis Cardinals on September 12, 1976, with the Cardinals taking a 30-24 win. The teams last met on Dec. 14, 2003 in St. Louis, with the Rams clinching the division title by earning a 27-22 victory. The Rams last traveled to Seattle on Sept. 21, 2003, losing a 24-23 decision that saw the Seahawks score 14 points in the fourth quarter to win the game.
The Rams beat San Francisco, 24-14, on Sunday Night last week to improve their record in October to 16-4 since 1999, which is the best in the NFL in that time. The victory also improved the Rams’ all-time primetime record to 35-41, 7-11 on Sunday Night, and 5-8 on the road on Sunday Night.

WR Isaac Bruce is having an historic season in 2004, as he has had 100-yard receiving games in each of the season’s first four games. Last week, Bruce continued that string with seven receptions for 100 yards at San Francisco, his sixth such effort against the *****. He is the first player to begin a season with four 100-yard receiving games since Houston’s Charley Hennigan did so in 1963. This marks the first time since 1995 that Bruce has had four consecutive 100-yard receiving games, as he had six in a row in Games 5-10 of that season. Against the *****, Bruce moved past Gary Clark (10,856) to 13th on the NFL’s all-time receiving yards list.

RB Marshall Faulk rushed 23 times for 121 yards with a long of 13, adding one reception for 25 yards last week at San Francisco. The 100-yard rushing game was the 40th of his career and 26th as a Ram, as the Rams own a 26-0 record in those games. Faulk has now rushed for over 100 yards against the *****, more than any other opponent in his career.
Against San Francisco, Faulk moved past Lawrence McCutcheon (6,186) for second place on the Rams’ alltime rushing list, as he now has 6,206 yard rushing as a Ram.
ON THE MARC
QB Marc Bulger completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts for 186 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions for a 103.1 passer rating last week at San Francisco. The game marked his ninth career game with at least a 100.0 passer rating. With his 68.0 completion percentage against the *****, that marked his sixth career game with at least a 67.0 completion percentage (min. 20 attempts).
Bulger has thrown 77 consecutive passes without an interception, tying for his second-longest such streak, as he went 82 attempts without getting picked off from Oct. 19 - Nov. 2, 2003, and 77 attempts from Dec. 15, 2002 - Sept. 21, 2003 Bulger completed 15 of 18 passes for 166 yards with one touchdown for a 123.6 passer rating in the first half against the *****. The touchdown was a six-yard strike to WR Shaun McDonald, the first of his career, with just over a minute left in the first quarter. That touchdown pass came one play after LB Tommy Polley sacked *****’ QB Tim Rattay, forcing a fumble that DE Leonard Little recovered.
