    2,000th post!!!!

It has been great being at the clan for the past few years. Going through all the ups and downs with great die hard fans on the best Rams site in the world. Now that we are going through a rougher patch in history some things have gotten a little bit more chippie. Dont get me wrong I think debate is great hear and it is welcomed. Sometimes its just taken to another level with personal shots and nonsense like that. Some people also take unnecessary shots at our team and players on our team. Should we really complain after getting our first win in 18 tries? Lets keeping making this cite the best and continue to be diehard fans, and just have faith and be confident in the positive direction this team is trying to move.

Too all the long time members and new guys alike thanks for being the greatest Rams fans in the world. Keep ramming hard (get your mind out of the gutter)

An active day of posts.. great discussions
            by general counsel
I for one have really enjoyed having some of the political, religious discussions with all of you today. Its quite refreshing to talk about real world important topics with intellegent people. We all love the rams, but when it comes to everything else, we sure have a wide range of opinions and views, which is a great thing. Its not a matter of right and wrong, its about an ability to express yourself and consider the views of others with an open mind.

I welcome any and all discussions on this board and will always do my best to respect the opinions of others, i think its great to spread our wings in some of the areas that have nothing to do with football.

rams fans vs. players-who cares more about winning?
            by general counsel
Who cares more about winning, fans or players? Interesting debate. Sure, the players are competitors and they want to win. Sure, it hurts them when they lose. Sure they often get more endoresement money when they win.

But, at the end of the day, they get paid the same money whether they do or dont win. As fans, we live and die with this team year after year for the love of the horns, the game and of couse, the love of dez.

I am sure that there are exceptions, but as a general rule, i think winning and losing means more to many of us than it does to the players.

            Any thoughts from the group

It is really nice to hear!
            by RamWraith
Just wanted to say thanks to all you fine people!!

It is really nice to here positives from people about the time and energy the mods put into the site. You have no idea some of the heated disagreements, the let it go/don't let go conversations that go on behind the scenes. We have had a very trying few weeks with the Holt benefit, getting ready for the Clannies, the draft, free agency and then trying to figure out how to deal with some VERY sensitive issues. It is really nice to hear that you appreciate the moderation of this site. We try very hard to make everyone important and as comfortable as possible here. Don't ever think that we take you or this site for granted. We hear and we try to listen to what you all want. Our doors are always open and if you have a concern please feel to address it to one of us through a PM.

We just wanted to let you know, that some of your comments as of late are very thoughtful and really makes us all take a step back and just say thanks!! You are what makes the Clan special, not us.

            Hey, LA Fans... save HUbison!
            by AvengerRam
Fans of the Rams in California have every reason and every right to be happy about the Rams' move out West.

But... from the vantage point of this geographically neutral fan (for those who don't know, I live in Florida and have never lived in either Missouri or California), you're taking it too far.

Too much gloating. Too many unnecessary shots at St. Louis and its fan base. Too many insensitive comments made to, or in the presence of, a group of loyal Rams fans who are justifiably mourning the departure of their team from their home state.

            Case in point: HUbison.

For those who don't know him, he is a Moderator and one of the real core members of this website. He has contributed as much insight, humor and level-headed analysis as any member of this site over the past several years. He is, without question, the type of member who makes this site a great place for Rams fans.

Unfortunately, if you read his recent posts, they convey a tone that I'd describe with words like distraught, detached, pessimistic and, to borrow a slang term my kids like to use, "salty."

I say that without absolutely zero intent to criticize HUbison.

The reason is, to put it plainly, he was driven to this state by the California fans.

Maybe HUbsion, in his typical measured and level-headed manner, will deny my assertion (in whole or in part).

            I'll still think I'm right.

Because through all the losing, all the dashed hopes, all of the frustration of the last ten years, I've never seen HUbison lose his sense of humor and resort to sarcastic naysaying.

It is only now, in the wake of the relocation and the reaction by the California fans, that HUbison has been driven to this point.

            And, you know what else?

He may be only the tip of the iceberg.

I'm betting that there are other Missouri fans who have felt the same way but, rather than staying as HUbison has done, have simply stopped posting, or even stopped visiting this site.

So, California fans.... I implore you...

            Cut it out.

            Consider your words.

            Be sensitive.

Recognize that your gain is contemporaneous with a big loss by real, true, loyal Rams fans from the Midwest.

In the past, some people have suggested that I, in my former "identity" of AvengerRam, caused harm to this site. Whether I agreed with those assertions or thought they were fair was ultimately unimportant The fact that some people felt that way motivated me to change my approach (thus, my new "identity" of RFE).

So, I'm asking you California fans...

Make sure the Missouri Rams fans continue to feel welcome.

Because, I truly believe... if you drive the likes of HUbison away, I'm not sure the Clan will su...
